About this product
London dance band Stats their debut album Other People's Lives via Memphis Industries. Recorded at London's prestigious RAK Studios, band founder and front man Ed Seed, and his full live band spent time tracking the live jams that would form the bones of this newest single, and the rest of Other People's Lives. Ricocheting between 1970s art rock, 80s synth grooves and cosmic disco-pop, the band have already gained plaudits from Lauren Laverne at BBC Radio 6 Music, Elton John at Beats 1 and high praise from The Guardian, The Sunday Times, i-D, DIY Mag, and Q to name but a few early supporters. The aim at RAK was to ditch structure and embrace spontaneity.

London band Stats have announced their new album InchPowys 1999Inch, due for on November 13th via Memphis Industries. While the band's critically acclaimed debut album InchOther People's LivesInch - loved by everyone from Elton John to Phoebe Waller-Bridge - was recorded in a two-day burst, capitalising on a gap in front man Ed Seed's busy schedule touring with Dua Lipa, InchPowys 1999Inch is different. There's a dense narrative to the album that explores personal upbringing - and the potential untrustworthy memories that come with such reflection - along with the industrial, financial and political landscape of the countryside.1. 2015 , the 10th studio album from John Lydon and his Public Image Ltd (PiL) mates. The 11-track album follows the huge critical success of 2012's This is PiL, the band's first album in 17 years. Commenting on the album, Lydon says, 'Buy now while stocks last.' Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time, PiL's music and vision earned them five UK Top 20 singles and five UK Top 20 albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound, John Lydon guided the band from their debut album First Issue in 1978 through to 1992's That What Is Not. After a 17 year hiatus, Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009. Last year the band returned to Steve Winwood's Wincraft studio in the Cotswolds to record this album.

Other Lives, which includes Josh Onstott and Jonathon Mooney, remain focused on the search for audible clarity their next expression, their next melody, their next rhythm. Rituals, the band's third and 2015 full-length album, is a pure encapsulation of the trio's relentless drive for precision. Ambient soundscapes (InchNew FogInch) buttress against prog-rock stomp (Inch2 PyramidsInch) lending the album the experience of embarking on a choose-your-own-adventure novel. InchThere's kind of a duality to this record,Inch Tabish says, referencing InchPatternInch - Inchrhythmically kind of up-tempo, really fast-moving, marimbas, this new kind of new-wave orchestra soundInch - in opposition to the closing title track, a slow-building, piano-and-strings-anchored ballad Tabish wrote in the finals weeks of recording.
