I’ve been on the hunt for a truly exceptional gaming keyboard, and the SteelSeries Apex 7 has more than delivered. Right out of the box, the quality is immediately evident. The red linear mechanical switches feel incredibly smooth—no tactile bump, just a crisp and quiet press every time. Whether I’m navigating intense multiplayer matches or typing lengthy reports, every keystroke feels lightning-fast and effortless. The vibrant RGB backlighting is customizable down to the finest detail, allowing me to create the perfect atmosphere for late-night sessions. Plus, the sleek black design looks fantastic on my desk, effortlessly blending into my gaming setup. The included magnetic wrist rest is a standout feature, offering comfort that helps me push through extended gameplay without strain. The intuitive media controls and programmable macro keys make adjusting audio or switching between profiles incredibly convenient. After experiencing the Apex 7, I can’t imagine going back to a non-mechanical keyboard. If you’re looking to elevate your gaming experience, this keyboard is a must-have.

I just picked one up and it's not even primarily going to be used for gaming. I bought it because it was the most comfortable keyboard I have ever typed on, period. I don't care for the gimmicky blinking lights (although they are cool) and I don't care about the little bullsh\*t OLED thing that's on there. The build quality of the keyboard, the responsiveness and how amazing this keyboard is to type on just crushes anything Logitech and Microsoft has ever made. I'm replacing my 5 year Logitech K750 Solar as it was about time to retire that thing. I've been sending emails, typing up Word documents, and working on Excel spreadsheets all day and I am not getting as much fatigue on my hands and wrists as I did on my previous keyboard. Now that work is done, it's time for some games!

This is a great keyboard with all the options you want in a gaming keyboard. Glorious RGB Macro programming for any application. OLED status screen. Mechanical keys for the maximum click. Sturdy construction with a magnetic wrist pad.

Little on the pricey side, but a great addition to my steelseries hardware. OLED on board display is a nice touch, but have not found many practical uses as of yet. The level of customization on this keyboard and other steelseries devices is great.

My first experience with a SteelSeries mechanical gaming keyboard was after I purchased an MSI Titan 2QE gaming laptop with a built in SteelSeries Cherry MX gaming keyboard. After purchasing a Cyberton CLX gaming desktop, I knew I was going to put the keyboard that came with it, aside and buy a SteelSeries gaming keyboard. The Apex M750 to be exact and I LOVED it! I then purchased the SteelSeries Apex 7 Mechanical gaming keyboard with an OLED display and settings control and that turned out to be even better than the Apex M750! Didn't think it could get any better than the Apex M750 but SteelSeries is full of surprises! The $148.00 dollar price tag may seem a bit steep but it's well worth the money if the price is within your budget. The key presses are smooth and very responsive and if you're into the click clack sound when pressing the keys, which I am, then this keyboard is for you! Lastly, if you're into multi-colored RBG keys and layered colors when pressing the keys then you're in for a treat! The keys light up brightly, no matter the color or pattern chosen for easy key visibility! Give this keyboard a try!

Switches feel really good. Keyboard as a whole feels durable and no cheaply built. The wrist rest a smooth rubber feel and is pretty flat but does alright. The SteelSeries GG app makes it super easy to customize your keyboard to exactly how you like it, both for functionality and aesthetics.

Amazing keyboard I bought this to go with my steel series pro headset and I love it. It was easy to set up and easy to change the colors plus it's not overly loud at all this it by far the best gaming keyboard I've had. Steel series is just the way to go their products are sturdy and top of the line

Keyboard feels and sounds great, I like the design and the features it comes with. OLED display can be configured to display useful specs or info as well as gifs. Wrist rest is very comfortable but can get dirty quickly.

I love my keyboard. I can customize the RGB and the LED screen. It’s funny sometimes because you can make it animated. I have Baby today sipping some tea.

This is my first mechanical keyboard. having used almost a year now. I can say that I enjoy this keyboard very much. It feels so much smoother to type than my previous keyboard.

I am blown away at how well this keyboard feels for both gaming and normal typing. The software Via SteelSeries GG is very easy to use and customization was fun to play with.

Nicely built, aluminum frame, rgb is great and is easily controlled without software. A little gimmicky though, dedicated media buttons would be more useful than a small, b&w oled screen.

I just switched from Logitech G810, which is already a very good keyboard. But Apex7 gave me another experience. Buttery smooth switches, nice RGB. Just waiting on Steelseries to develop more customizations on their Engine app. Can’t wait!

this product was spectacular! I absolutely am a huge fan of the different color combinations and the different customizations you can add to this keyboard would highly recommend 10 out of 10!

By far is the best keyboard I've used so far. Very comfortable wrist pad with solid long term build quality, the amazing sounding keycaps, metal frame for obvious gaming related reasons and also cause metal is just better in everyway, extreme customization options from the key trigger points, massive rgb preset options with individually customizable key effects, solid key binding options, and able to sync it with other steelseries products as icing on the cake.
