Great headset, the earpads can get warm but are they are replaceable, same with the headband leaving the only point of failure where the headband meets the driver enclosure which is designed well. Doesn’t creak when you twist it, and you can barely feel it while wearing it due to the headband, with new earpads (some even offer cooling) you can game for hours on end. Microphone sounds amazing, before purchasing this headset I had one which is known for having an amazing microphone as well and I’ve been told this one is better! The AI noise cancelling feature in Sonar also makes keyboard strokes silent, and most background noise is gone. The DAC is easy to learn and use and super convenient! I do wish there was a way to import EQs from SONAR since SONARS EQs which are there from install are amazing. You can also macro your microphone mute to the small button on the DAC, and there’s another microphone mute on the headset as well as a volume knob!

The sound quality is top notch. You will legitimately have issues finding better sounding headphones for this price. The included DAC's use of Spatial Audio is great, and the ability to dynamically set the E.Q. really adds to any experience. The included DAC is very high quality, and is easily the larger selling point versus the headset itself. Switching between devices can be handled automatically or done manually, which is amazing. This makes it easy to use for setups that need to pull double duty, such as my use case, where it is hooked up to both a laptop dock and a gaming computer. The software itself is okay. Steelseries GG, when it works, is fantastic, allowing for easy adjustment of volume and Chat/Game mix on the fly using the dial. This is if it works. When it decides to crash or not properly detect the dock, you are left with a headset that either does not work, is not detected, or blasts game and chat audio at max volume in your ears. It is highly, highly annoying. However, this is an incredibly comfortable gaming headset. I've used multiple brands over the years, namely Logitech and Razer, and this is both a better fit and much lighter. The microphone is also not slapped onto it, but rather retractable, which makes a huge difference. Overall though, you will not find a better headset for gaming.

When it comes to gaming headsets, you truly get what you pay for. The wired Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro for pc and playstation Is a true testament to that. Great audio and decent microphone for voice chatting. Comfortable for long hours, wired for endless sessions, and the gamedac allows for multi-system connection and multiple sound options for different games built in. On PC the settings are super configurable allowing you to fine tune the audio to your specific preference if you download their software. It has its pros and cons like any other headset but for the pricepoint, you wont be disappointed with your purchase. It is wired so it might not be suitable for large distances between the console, television and user. Game dac sometimes switches settings when flipping through the prebuilt audio presets but its not always. The mic on ps4 has to be turned up all the way on bothe the game dac and console settings, but I dont think I had this issue on PC or ps5. Other than those small considerations I recommend choosing the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro
