About this product
This CD is a performance with a classic jazz combo saxophone, double bass, and percussion. Naturally, the percussion no longer reflects the timbre of the tonal instrument, but brushes up the executive praxis in long 4/4 accompaniments next to Carter's extraordinary bass. All tracks on this CD were recorded live at a concert in Udine, the final show of a tour that covered all the major Italian cities. - Andrea Centazzo.

Cjant - First concert for small orchestra based upon friulian folk songs, are Centazzo's first orchestral compositions combining a string section along with the original Mitteleuropa (Free Jazz) Orchestra. The name for the ensemble came not only from the cultural background of it's members but also from middle-European mold of the music written for it. Housed in a DVD style case.

Soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy and percussionist Andrea Centazzo perform improvised music called Tao 1-10, featuring Lacy's spiky, angular melodies and improvisations with Centazzo supplying empathetic support.
