I bought the collector's edition and was very impressed the detail of the statue. Gameplay is awesome with new fighting mechanics. I would of giving it 5stars but he only thing it's not a complete game. Missing a lot of content that you will get but later on by DLC in March-June. I wish they would of waited and release a complete game.

Its amazing to think that when I was a kid the Street Fighter 2 was something you could only play in the arcades with your quarters. This brings the series back to its roots and allows even the newest of players to pick up their sticks and compete against some of the best, okay not quite but its come back from the combo and air juggle style Street Fighter 4. It does sort of fall short as far as the characters and additional content at the initial release and the online fight system can be truly annoying when it fidgets at the worst time, but it shows great potential as a core of whats coming very soon. Enough about the actual game and lets get to why this set was actually purchased, the extras. For the price you pay the extra $30 you get way more than you paid for. The statue has to be one of the best looking statues I have seen in any collectors set and it is definitely on par with some of the $100 statues that you can find out on the market. The details on Ryus face are spot on and his Gi even better. The depth and details aren't just painted on either, they are carved and sculpted into the statue itself. I believe its made from PVC which isnt as resilient as Resin cast statues but you're not gonna be play house or throwing it across the room. The statue was already worth more than you pay for but they also give you a little artbook that shows the character design process which is neat to see. The new characters are showcased in the book a lot more and show how they came up with the character to how they were actually brought out to look. DLC included are a few digital comic books, which includes the backstory to Nash (or Charlie its all the same) and a 5 track sample from the in game music. Overall 5 out of 5 just because it is very reminscent of the older games and represents something that may not need but will of course eventually lead to more renditions to this sequel (Super, Ultra, Mega, Arcade, etc. Edition.) But the bones and the soon to come updates and additions will surely make this game shine.

Street Fighter V features great gameplay and fun new characters. The singleplayer content is it bit lacking but Capcom promises they will be added for free next month. The statue that comes with the CE looks amazing, with great detail.

To start of with, this game has fun and balanced gameplay and beautiful graphics and art style, in which the street fighter franchise is known for. The characters are all interesting and different that I find myself playing and learning all of them. But what made this game receive a lot of criticism was its lack of single player content and poor online launch. Now the online is great and we will receive free story and character content in the future.

Street Fighter V has great gameplay and online is fun when it works. The fighting feels very much back to basics, which allows it to be more accessible compared to Street Fighter IV. However the initial launch leaves much to be desired. If online is not your thing you might want to wait for future updates. The upside is that these updates will always be free and there will be no "Super" edition. If online is your thing, go ahead and pick this up.

For the collector, this edition is really well done. An excellent likeness on the statue, and a good amount of content in the art book. For the fighting game fan, this is the foundation of a great game. It's obvious that this was released to be viable in this year's tournaments. Once the additional content comes along, it will be fantastic. With all of the launch issues, the forthcoming modes may ease the pain.

Awesome statue! The extras in this bundle are okay, I haven't looked at the comics yet and the soundtrack sampler only gives you 5 songs. As for the game, its average at the moment. I knew when I bought it it was going to lack most of the features that are coming at a later date, but the servers have been horrible so its been a little shaky online. The graphics and music in the game are wonderful as well!

The Collector's Edition of Street Fighter V comes with a fantastic Ryu statue. The detail is great and the size is solid. The statue makes the additional cost definitely worth it, plus it comes with a cool art book, hardcover. The game itself is decent. I am not a fan of the story mode and the lack of local arcade style play is very disappointing but so far I've had no issues playing friends online.

I preordered the collectors edition and received it the day after. This is not a big deal, but of course it would ruin your day if you had wanted to play the midnight release. Regarding the game, it is a good starting point for beginners especially because previous SF4 series lasted for about 7 years and there were more than a handful of veterans around. In addition, with a new installment, players both new and old can grow and work together in finding out combos and technology until the inevitable moment we have to battle it out. Don't buy this game expecting mortal kombatesque game mechanics. This game will make you learn how to really play fighting games especially if you play online with skilled players. I would recommend this game for people who truly want to learn how to "fight: and are willing to lose 100 times before you come out better than at least most of your friends. I would not recommend this for people mainly looking for a deep lore or an entertaining party game with flashy visuals and effects because you will be disappointed. The game is fun, but the real reward of investing time into this game is becoming a better, smarter, and more deadly street fighter.

Street Fighter V is an example of a great game with excellent gameplay that was launched earlier than usual for competition. The majority of the non-competitive content is being added over the course of the year. Know what to expect before purchasing.

So I already reviewed the game in another posting and will just sum it up by saying it plays fluidly, characters are likable and graphics are great. Game will be built upon over the next few years so in that regards it is incomplete as well as missing various modes found in previousstreet fighter releases. My rating on the Collectors edition is that if you enjoy 1/6th scale (roughly) statues, art books, etc. then you will like the added features. If you are a member of the gamer's club then it's a great price to buy at and you won't be disappointed. For those who are paying retail, it just really depends if you like the added merchandise or not. I would definitely recommend this edition to hard core fans of the franchise.

The gameplay is awesome but the online servers need to fixed. Not a game I would recommend till everything is fixed. But in love the statue that came out looking awesome

Sure you could go a little cheaper and get the regular street fighter V or for that matter, the digital only version. But you will be definitely missing out on one of the more awesome special collector's additions on the market. Besides the vouchers included for the CD soundtrack sampler and some street fighter comics, this has one of the best RYU pack-in statues ever released. I'm always timid about the quality of the collector editions, but know that they did not go cheap and this is well worth the extra bucks. The statue itself when put together is heavy and very detailed. I have it displayed in an acrylic box it is so nice! Besides what is included, the core game is fast and responsive. It's next gen street fighter with most of the characters you know and love albeit a few tweaks in move sets. Pay the extra money if you can find this set and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!!

I've been playing almost all the street fighters games, but so far this is the best one, graphics are insane, I bought the Collector's edition and the Ryu figure is super nice. Recommended for anyone who likes fighting games.
