Strong,Nolan / Diablos - Fortune Of Hits, Vol. 1 And 2 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

After some years of being a fixture in the Melbourne music scene, Sarah Mackintosh will finally be releasing her debut solo album this October. Recorded in 2006 with Augie March's Adam Donovan, 'Kismet' brings to the forefront Sarah's soulful voice and often poignant lyrics as featured on 'Stranger' and 'Soothe' that will leave many with goosebumps. Whilst some songs are dulcet, a few are rockier & all, tell a story. For fans of Catpower, Deb Conway, PJ Harvey, and Michelle Shocked.

EU-only collection of true Country classics from 1968. Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Hillbilly Music (Country & Western Hitparade) tells the real story of Country music record-by-record, year-by-year. The hits are here, but they're only half the story. The set goes beyond chart books to include groundbreaking records that went nowhere at the time, but influenced generations yet to come. This is the music that influenced the White Stripes, Gillian Welch, Gram Parsons, Nick Cave, the Beatles and many others. In other words, this is the true and uncensored history of Country music. Everything you need to hear, year-by-year, as it happened! Bear Family.
