In one of his best (and most unheralded) performances, Frank Sinatra plays John Baron, a professional assassin who joins other killers in the small town of Suddenly, Ca., where he plans to murder the president of the United States. Baron and his associates pose as federal agents in order to take a family hostage and use their house as the base for their operations. Suspenseful film noir directed by Lewis Allen (InchThe UninvitedInch) co-stars Sterling Hayden, James Gleason. 75 min. Standard; Soundtracks English Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles Spanish; audio commentary; theatrical trailer. Two-disc set.
Maltese youngster Ziggy (Mark Lester) had built up a reputation for his vivid imagination and penchant for pranks. He never had a problem with that, until the day he became the sole witness to a visiting dignitary's assassination... and found no one willing to believe him. Make that almost no one... as the killers found him out, and left a trail of blood in their bid to ensure his silence. Effective suspenser in the tradition of InchThe WindowInch co-stars Susan George, Lionel Jeffries, Jeremy Kemp, Peter Vaughn. AKA InchEyewitness.Inch
Frank Sinatra's performance as a cold-blooded assassin planning to kill the President of the United States is absolutely spellbinding in this classic thriller. While traveling to a vacation destination, the President's train is scheduled to pass through the normally serene small town of Suddenly. Sinatra and his gang of thugs take over a house that overlooks the Presidential train stop. They hold the terrified household members hostage
