This album gathers some world premiere recordings by a composer who for too long has been considered an expression of solely jazz music- Chick Corea. This is the homage to an artist able to merge different genres in his compositions and to combine the experiences of giants of the classical repertoire such as Bach and Debussy, with those of Bartok and Ligeti. With the phrase InchThis is... musicInch, he shows that he does not want to categorize his compositions in a specific musical genre.

Sporting a resume that hearkens back to the glory days of the Chess Records empire, Sugar Pie DeSanto at 84, is still recording and occasionally performing, having outlived many of her peers. She was legendary for her incendiary stage performances. Creative A & R man for Chess, Roquel InchBillyInch Davis once declared, Sugar Pie could outperform Etta James, with whom The Sugar sang a handful of duets. Having written well over 100 songs, Sugar Pie has a new on Jasman Records entitled, Sugar's Suite a 4 song EP produced by James Moore, Sr., with arrangements by three-time Emmy Producer/Arranger Bill Jolly. The creative design and packaging are skillfully augmented with images from one of Italy's top photographers, Gianni Grandi.

We've taken a selection of the most in-demand and asked-for titles in our Brazil 45's catalogue and given them a loving remaster and repress. The late composer, arranger, musician and record producer Nonato Buzar is a lesser-known great outside of Brazil. His legacy leaves behind a rich body of recordings, working with some of the cream of the Brazilian '60s and '70s music scene, including Evinha, Elis Regina, Wilson Das Neves as well as reggae legend Jimmy Cliff. The awesome organ driven dancer 'Cafuá', with it's zesty horns and sun-soaked vocal tones, is taken from Nonato & Seu Conjunto's 1975 'O Som E O Balanço de Nonato' album on Som records.Most famed for his ultra rare 1973 track 'Lotus 72 D', which Mr Bongo reissued in 2019, José Roberto aka Zé Roberto's other 7 inch from the following year, also held a gem within it's B side grooves. 'Crioula Multicolorida', though not as scarce as 'Lotus 72 D', is still a super hard record to track down and is equally as great. This anthemic 'samba rock' pearler, with it's amazing breakdown and strutting groove, has long been a favourite amongst Brazilian DJs and collectors. The track also featured on the influential 'Via Brazil' compilation series and 'Brazilian Beats Brooklyn' collection on Mr Bongo.
