Its surface is made of jet black glass for a contemporary look that's easier to clean. This unit does not ship with a power cord and must be hard-wired by a professional. Four elements let you meet a variety of cooking needs, with an extra large 2500W 9 3/4" front dual zone element ideal for woks, Dutch ovens, and other larger cooking vessels. The inner element is just 5 1/2", perfect for smaller pots used to melt butter, chocolate, and more. This unit includes an 1800W 8" burner located in the rear left, great for boiling water or heating up sauces in large pans while the front element is also in use. Two 6 1/2" 1200W elements accommodate smaller cookware. The upfront digital controls are located to the right, ensuring you won't have to reach over the controls when adjusting your pots and pans. The temperature is easy to adjust with intuitive touch controls. This unit also includes a timer function that lets you program a power level and cook time (up to 99 minutes) that can either turn the unit off when complete, or serve as a visual countdown with an audible alert when the set time has been reached.
