A: I never weighed it. But I can lift it easily to carry it outside and down steps from my kitchen. My primary concern has been to be mindful of the handlebars not hitting the doorframe when carrying it outside. That has been more of an issue for me than the weight.
Q: Is this waterproof. I travel 9 miles daily will it make it there and back. 4,5 one way same back.
A: Waterproof… I have wondered that myself. No idea. I have deliberately avoided using it in the rain. My primary reason for NOT using it in rain, is to avoid slipping and sliding. Traveling 9 miles… the longest round trip I have had, is about 4 miles. When I arrive back home, the battery has half a charge. ( 2 LEDs out of 4 are lit… no exact percentage meter here ) The biggest concern regarding distance, is going up hills. The battery charge LEDs seem kind of odd while going uphill. For example, arriving at the base of the hill, 3 LEDs are lit. While going uphill, it shows 2 LEDs. After reaching to the top of the hill, it shows 3 LEDs again. I only drive mine during the day. Please keep in mind the headlight is powered by the same battery that powers the motor. So that might have some impact on driving at night. For anyone who needs to drive at night on this, I would seriously recommend spending money to get a good, bright, quality headlight and noticeable tail light. I mostly use mine during the day because we all know there are drivers out there who need all the help they can get when driving. I also use mine during the day because it is easier to spot uneven surfaces and brace yourself for them. ( No shock absorbers on this. )
Q: can you raise the seat up and down?
A: No. I found out this is NOT like a typical bike seat that gets mounted on a steel tube, then the tube is mounted to the bike. The seat is mounted directly on the bike. No height adjustment possible.
Q: Does it come with a charger ?to charger it
A: Yes. It comes with a 6 foot typical 2-conductor appliance cable. ( Everyone has seen this cable a thousand times ) Just plug that cable into the battery compartment and an AC outlet and you are good to go. I found the 6 foot cable to be too short. So I bought a 10 foot cable. The 10 foot cable was perfect for my circumstances.
Q: Do you have this in store locally in tucson az?
