In 2019, SWEET embarked on the biggest tour of their long career to date with the 'Still Got The Rock' tour in Europe and the UK. In between, they even found time to fly to Australia to play as co-headliners on the 'Rock The Boat Cruise 2019'. The band was fired up and looking forward to the future. But suddenly in 2020, the whole world was in turmoil, triggered by a global pandemic and all wheels came to a standstill overnight. But for Sweet, there had to be a way out, otherwise musical creativity in all it's forms would be lost forever. So, in what was a new isolation for everyone, they began to produce a Sweet album with the 'new' guys Paul Manzi and Lee Small and the 'old guard' Andy Scott and Bruce Bislan. The album was given the title 'Isolation Boulevard' to suit the situation. The songs are re-recordings of 12 classics from Sweet's extensive collection. There was little time between the lockdowns in the UK to achieve the desired goal. On top of this, there were numerous technical obstacles that had to be overcome. With this in mind, the overall performance of everyone involved is all the more impressive, from the driving drums and bass to the 'in your face' guitars and stratospheric vocals. In the end, it was a pleasure for everyone to record 'Isolation Boulevard', despite being under very strict distancing rules. The result speaks for itself. The album will now be released as a Ltd. Edition Neon Yellow Vinyl.

Sweetlife' saw Sweet return to form in 2002 with eleven sensational tracks from Andy Scott, Steve Grant, Jeff Brown and Bruce Bisland. The long out-of-print, eponymous debut album by the prescient, genre-scrambling collective, Cerberus Shoal, showcases their humble beginnings as a progressive punk band with extraordinary promise. Recorded in 1994 and originally released the following year, Cerberus Shoal distilled the band's earliest creative and philosophical influences - the rhythmic post-hardcore of Dischord Records; the disarming histrionics of Ebullition and Gravity Records; and the ominous, patient dynamics of Slint and Moss Icon - into a concise six-song document that is as much a snapshot of an era as a blueprint for much that followed. Beautifully remastered and finally available on vinyl again for the first time in over 25 years, Cerberus Shoal is packaged in restored artwork with extensive new liner notes and newly uncovered photos from the earliest era of the band. The record has been newly mastered for vinyl by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service, and pressed onto audiophile-grade vinyl. The digital includes a massive 30-minute instrumental bonus track not available on the LP.
The year was 1985. The reformation of Sweet was under way. I had been hanging out with Mick Tucker and we'd talked about putting together a InchnewInch Rock line-up of Sweet after the hiatus of the original band. I had recruited Phil Lanzon on keyboards and Mal McNulty on bass, now we needed the Voice! Paul Mario Day walked in and we looked no further. Paul was the original singer with Iron Maiden and had a stint with the band More before he joined Sweet.Our first dates were in Australia, total sell-outs which boded well for the future. Europe followed suit and 3 sold out nights at the original Marquee Club in London produced a live album, video and DVD. InchLive at the MarqueeInch did well in various charts around the world and Paul's vocal performance has stood the test of time.There were also tracks recorded at Pacific Studios in London which feature Paul's incredible vocals. These recordings were meant to be the start of a new phase for Sweet but due to a management dispute only 4 tracks were released. Sadly Paul is no longer with us but the legacy is right here for everyone to appreciate.Andy Scott
