At long last, we have the new album from the Minneapolis black metal project, False. After an Untitled EP in 2011, and a split LP with Barghest in 2012, they now return with their first proper full-length album, once again an untitled . Throughout the sixty-minute run time of the album, False dive deeper into the realm of visceral and relentless black metal for which they've become well-known. Their live sound and ferocity is finally captured here, revealing a whole new depth and darkness that has only been hinted at on previous recordings. This album is far from a simple exercise in listening, and more akin to a journey to be experienced. The works contained therein are incredibly bleak and emotionally powerful, with a long lasting impact. This Untitled album was recorded live, mixed, and mastered by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording, with artwork by Nicole Sara Simpkins. It will be presented as an gatefold CD and gatefold 2LP, each pressed in a quantity of 1000 and each housed in a thick, old-style tip-on jacket, printed by Stoughton Printing. Vinyl includes a digital download code.

The cover art for Plantoid's debut album, the jazzy, prog-rock opus Terrapath, is a desolate, misty landscape, where a massive half-vegetable, half-machine structure resembling a spaceship looms above figures shrouded in shadow. It's weird and eerie, but it also ignites a feeling of wonder and nostalgia, like cracking open your favorite sci-fi novel as a kid. Musically, Plantoid's cauldron harnesses multiple subgenres at once to concoct a sort of primordial soup, the molecules of which are built as much from progressive rock as they are jazz, fusion, folk, and even a bit of '70s hard rock for good measure. Plantoid are one of those bands that exceed the sum of their parts, with each member bringing a unique flavor that enhances their sound tenfold. Tom has been playing guitar practically his whole life, and his style, which fluctuates from rich finger-picking to reverb-laden rock riffs, sits very comfortably on top of Louis's jazz-infused drumming and Bernardo's intricate basslines. The band find their ace-in-the-hole with Chloe, however-as well as serving as Plantoid's principle lyricist, her soaring vocals, at times both angelic and alien, propel each song on Terrapath to new heights. Album Tracks 1. Is That You? 2. Pressure 3. Modulator 4. It's Not Real 5. Dog's Life 6. Only When I'm Thinking 7. Wander/Wonder 8. Insomniac (Don't Worry) 9. G.Y. Drift 10. Softly Speaking
