- Description: Composed and recorded while in and out of lockdowns, InchPapillon de NuitInch is an album anchored in growth and maturity. The thematic inspiration came from an unlikely source, a creature that soars after the sun sets, but often goes unnoticed until the light shines on it. It is the Inchpapillon de nuitInch to some, but drably referred to as a moth by others, revealing a bias in language alone. Following the success of InchSoul RunInch (2016/17) and InchThe GumptionInch (2019), Tanika had found a comfortable pace of releasing albums then hitting the road the following year to bring her show to new markets far and wide. So when things changed for all of us, and plans of touring InchThe GumptionInch properly fell through, there was a realization that getting to work on the next project was the healthiest choice to make. Tanika, who took part in the writing of most of the album, was also assisted by regular co-writer Robert Bolton (InchSoul RunInch, InchRemember to RememberInch) and accomplished solo performer Tafari Anthony (Priyanka, of RuPaul's Drag Race). Featured guests include the multi-disciplinary artist Khari McClelland and rising Toronto rapper, DijahSB. Both Dakarai Morris-James (Joanna Majoko, BeBe Zahara Benet) and Sean InchD/SHONInch Henderson (InchLove OverdueInch, Serena Ryder) assisted with vocal arrangements across multiple songs. Album Tracks 1. Million Ways 2. Hold Me (Like a Grudge) 3. Frustrated 4. Don't Be So Entitled 5. Rent Free 6. Gin and Wine 7. Papillon de Nuit 8. Different Morning (Feat. Dijahsb) 9. Love Don't Mean a Thing 10. Paintbrush and a Palette 11. Honey Baby (Feat. Khari Wendell McClelland)
