Queens, NY legends Onyx released their album, InchBacdafucup, Inch in 1993, delivering their signature hardcore, aggressive hip hop with gravelly vocals. The album, co-produced by Jam Master Jay, was certified platinum and contained several singles, most notably InchSlam, Inch which was also certified platinum and reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group's sophomore album, InchAll We Got Iz UsInch debuted at #2 on Billboard Top 200 chart, while InchShut Em DownInch debuted top 10 on that same chart. Onyx released 8 studio albums and is set to InchOnyx vs. EverybodyInch on May 13, 2022. Onyx and multiplatinum California rap juggernaut Cypress Hill will square off the next night, May 14th, as part of VERZUZ InchFight Night MusicInch during Triller Fight Club Presents TRILLERVERZ 5.

Legendary guitarist John Ricci of Exciter returns with his new band, Powerrage. Alongside Ricci are bassist Todd Pilon (formerly of Witchkiller), drummer Lucas Dery, and singer Jacques Bélanger, who was featured on the three Exciter albums. Powerrage's music is difficult to describe, but in addition to ultra-heavy doom/death metal, there are also Exciter influences and parallels to early Mercyful Fate. The eight tracks on Beast were recorded with the help of John Ricci's longtime friend and producer Manfred Leidecker and mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio. When you listen to uncompromisingly hard tracks like InchDark Wings,Inch InchHaunted Hell,Inch or the almost punk-sounding (and somewhat reminiscent of the unique Amebix) InchI Torture I Kill,Inch it quickly becomes clear that Powerrage is indeed a new beginning.
