This is a great laptop stand. I wanted something that was not too big or heavy and this product is everything i wanted. It fits in my backpack and is easy to set up and take down to put away when i am done. I really like it!

As someone doing heavy video editing in Adobe Creative Cloud on a MacBook Air M5, I was conscious that the fanless design — while beautifully silent — could throttle performance under sustained workloads. The Targus Chill Mat+ has been the perfect solution. Under heavy editing sessions, the difference in temperature is noticeable, giving me confidence that the M5 chip is running at its best without thermal constraints. The mat fits the 15" MacBook Air perfectly — no overhang, no awkward positioning, just a clean, purpose-built fit. For anyone running a demanding creative workstation setup on a fanless MacBook, this is a smart, affordable safeguard for your investment. Paired with the Belkin 11-in-1 USB-C Hub and StarTech KVM Switch, it completes a seriously capable dual-monitor workstation setup that punches well above its price.

Second time buying a mat like this. I get it due to the fact that you gain more USB slots. So you do not lose USB when using it. I have mouse and keyboard plugged into the device and no issues. My first one not sure if it was my laptops ability to have such devices or not. But it would not accept the key board. This one does. I do not have the old mat to see if it's the laptops power or the mat itself. Or just the keyboard. The mat is very quite. Though I think my last was to... Till it started to die. Tldr Fans quiet Adds usb ports It can adjust. Cons. Can get loud if you do not clean fans from dust. (Probably)

This chill mat has been useful, it does the job cooling my laptop but sometimes is a little tricky to use and set up, you have to be careful because some times it fells pretty easy. All the usb ports are really useful.

Light weight, keeps laptop cool; onboard usb ports are nice add on however I think they're standard ports...it does not show them as 2.0 or 3.0 so a bit dated tech

[Employee of bestbuy] It is pretty noisy is my biggest issue with the product but dispite that issue it works wonders my PC has gone down 10 degrees and has been super helpful with keeping it up and off the ground!

I have had this for a couple of months now and it has been great, I was hesitant when I purchased it because I had read some reviews where some customers experienced issues with this mat. I havent had any issues at all, I love the 4-port USB Hub on the back.

My husband use it for work at home . It help how you comfortable at. Highly recommended.

This helps keep my ASUS ROG cooler. Certain games make the laptop run really hot, but, i find with the adjustable lift and fans, i seem to be abled to keep it cooler than the flat cooling unit I had before. I also like all of the extra USB ports.

Over all- It's just okay. Especially, when I have purchased other objects from Targus at a drastically lower price and had exceptional quality. I am very disappointed and really wished I would have returned it and purchased another one. I don't feel it's worth the price especially with a loud fan and weird grid on the bottom. The best features are it is strong plastic and it does help vent with the ability to raise it-if you can keep it on without it slipping over the front- and the ventilated grill top and sides. And that is even without it plugged in, but of course having it on does help. If anything, at least my lap isn't so hot. Detail- I got this in April. I thought it was going to be amazing with two fans and the usb ports and that it adjusts. I originally purchased because my computer would get extremely hot and the laptop fan was working on overload it seemed like with all the noise trying to cool it down. I wanted something with a good fan that was whisper quiet to help. The fans are louder than my laptop fan. I've had a product like this before with my other laptop and it was super quiet and it was from Targus. I also thought the usb ports would be handy since I only had two and one is messed up; so if the mat was connected, I didn't have an extra port. I really wanted to be able to connect my external hard drive, which I have run off a 2.0 port, but i don't have access when I try it to connect it to the mat.The light comes on like it is connected but I cannot even see the icon to connect. Disconnecting the mat and putting the drive in the same port, the icon comes up and I can view files. I figure it's because the power isn't enough and I need to connect the mat to the 3.0 port, but that is the one that needs to be fixed. I was able to connect- a camera and access photos, my phone and charge it and my watch all at the same time. Even when it is only the drive connected to the mat, it won't work. I need to get the 3.0 port fixed and see if it will work then. It is great that it is sturdy and adjusts to make it more comfortable. However, the lip that keeps the laptop on isn't very high and is a weird curve, so when you have it elevated, the laptop can slip off especially when you move. It does have some grip on the back but my lap top is 14" and so my laptop doesn't even rest of those. It'd be nice if the lip was higher. My laptop bottom curves up and so how it hits the lip and how that is curved, when it's raised it's always sliding off. The bottom of the mat has a grid design which tends to cut in and leave temporary marks. If you grab it a certain way with your hand, it isn't comfortable. The other mat I had from Targus had a smooth bottom and four little rubber pads that helped grip most surfaces and if it was on your lap wouldn't cut in. To adjust it up, you pull up on side by the little flap things until it's where you want. Under there, is a yellow knob that moves and will lock it into place into the notches on either side. To make it go down you have to turn that yellow knob towards you on both sides and try to keep some tension or the laptop drops abruptly and if it doesn't, one side is probably stuck and you have to mess with it to get it flat. Overall, it is just ok and I'd probably advise a friend to get a different one.

Does what it says on the tin. Bought one for every laptop in the house (5), they work great.

Working amazing so far with my bfs new gaming laptop I got him. It is SOOO quiet. He is loving it!

Works as it should. No issues. Helps keep laptop cool.

It doesn't seem to be built very sturdy, but it does work to cool my laptop down and that's really all I need it to do.

When I purchased this I wanted a USB hub and my laptop angled upward and taller up off of the desk. It seemed like a nice addition that it had fans. I could only take the fans for about a week and was tempted to return this item. I decided instead to disassemble the USB hub and unplug the fans. The fans have this ear piercing sonic sound that even came through my headphones, the sound was loud and irritating and quite frankly the fans did nothing for my HP Omen laptop. The sound is like a the high pitch noise from a blow dryer. Other smaller complain while build quality as a whole is decent the unit is flimsy but only when being handled especially with the laptop on it. Not a big deal though since it is mostly set it and forget it. Easily a 4 star if had it had a fan switch and was not overpriced at $53 I think it was?

I have a laptop that gets quite hot. This laptop cooling system with the extra USB ports help keep it cool. I got these when it was on sale making it a better deal.

I am in love with the pad. I like that once i connect it to the computer the two fans start to keep it cool. Also, i use the pad to sit it on too of a blanket over my knees so i can work on the sofa and not the desk, and it feels so comfortable.

My laptop was overheating and was showing a fatal system crash. I noticed that it was very hot. I was afraid I was going to have to replace the laptop. Instead, I purchased this chill mat and my laptop is working perfectly. No more fatal error notices, no more overheating laptop. The chill mat plugs into the laptop. So when the lap top is off, the cooler is off.

It does its job great. I would recommend this to anyone trying to cool their laptop. Little loud though.

use this for my gaming laptop and works super well. i like that i can connect 4 usb and theres no latency between it and the laptop.it is somewhat loud but i’m usually wearing headphones so it doesn’t bother me.
