I recently purchased the TCL 98" QM8 from Best Buy, and it has exceeded all my expectations! The picture quality is phenomenal—vibrant and clear. I was a bit nervous because the room we put it in is very bright, but it really holds up. The built-in Google operating system is a fantastic upgrade from the Google Chromecast I used on my Samsung TV. I was torn between the TCL and the Samsung 98 QN90. I’ve always had Samsung TVs, but I did my homework. The two things that sold me were TCL’s specs on contrast ratio (probably not calling it the right thing), but basically, its a better picture for those shows with dark scenes and it has more local dimming zones, which are supposed to give you better overall picture quality. But what really sold me was the price. It was almost half the price of the Samsung model. I decided to take a chance on TCL and am glad I did. I was also concerned about the size since our room is only 13’x15’. My husband assured me it would work (of course), and he was right—it’s big, but not overwhelming. The buying experience at Best Buy was seamless, and the Geek Squad installation service was exceptional. They communicated well, were clean, and completed the setup quickly. I can’t wait to watch the Yellowstone season 5 finale on this incredible TV. I highly recommend this TV!

5-Star Review for TCL 98” Q Class 4K Mini-LED QLED HDR Smart TV - 98QM850G I am absolutely blown away by the TCL 98” Q Class TV! Upgrading from an 80-inch screen, I didn’t think it could get much better, but this 98-inch display has taken my home theater experience to a whole new level. The sheer size alone makes every show, movie, and sports game feel incredibly immersive—it’s like having my own private movie theater! The picture quality is phenomenal. The QLED and Mini-LED combination delivers super-bright, vibrant colors, and stunning clarity, even in a well-lit room. Watching sports on this TV feels like I’m right in the stadium. The HDR brings every detail to life, so much so that it honestly feels better than being at the game in person. For movie nights, this TV’s color depth and crisp picture quality make every scene come alive. The Google TV integration is smooth and easy to use, with tons of apps and streaming options that give me everything I need right at my fingertips. If you’re on the fence about upgrading to a 98-inch, trust me—do it! This TCL 98” Q Class TV is an absolute game-changer. Five stars all the way!

Upgraded from the 2023 TCL 85QM850G to the 2024 TCL 98QM851G and am surprised at the significant perceived size difference. I did want to check out the Hisense 98UX but had a great experience with last year's 85" QM8 so I took the plunge. After a little tweaking in the settings, the picture quality and brightness is incredible and I don't regret the purchase one bit! If you're on the fence and have room for it (I'm sitting 11-12 feet from the screen and could sit comfortably closer) I would not wait. The free installation was professional and went perfectly. Obviously the tv isn't perfect, but if size, picture quality, and price matter, this is THE 98" TV in 2024. I didn't check the tv sound quality as I use a surround sound system as most who buy this tv will, so I just gave it 3 stars for sound.

The TCL 98QM851G is an impressive 98-inch QD-Mini LED TV that excels in brightness and color performance. With a peak brightness of up to 3,836 nits, it outshines competitors, making it ideal for bright rooms. The 4K Ultra HD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate enhance viewing experiences for both movies and gaming, supporting features like Dolby Vision and VRR. Its sleek design complements modern aesthetics, while the Google TV interface offers seamless access to streaming services. Overall, the TCL 98QM851G is a top choice for those seeking a large, high-performance display without breaking the bank.
