Teenage Bottlerocket - Ready To Roll - Pop-punk veterans Teenage Bottlerocket are primed to their new LP Ready to Roll, the band's first full length for Pirates Press Records. InchThis time around, there was no big concept, no pressure. We just wrote songs that felt good to play,Inch explains bassist Miguel Chen. InchThat freedom brought something fresh. It reminded us why we started doing this in the first place. The vibe is all about reconnecting with the joy of making music together.Inch The band returned to The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO, with Andrew Berlin behind the board and Jason Livermore overseeing the final master. InchThe Blasting Room is like home for us,Inch says Miguel. InchWorking with Andrew and Jason is always a smooth ride-they know how to pull the best out of us.Inch Fans got their first taste of what's to come via the lead single InchShe's the Sht.Inch Ray Carlisle wrote the song for his wife Rachel, who he says Inchloves to give me a hard time-she rolls her eyes when I rock out in front of the mirror, makes fun of the music I love, and calls me an old man when I bring up movies she's never seen. And I totally love her for it.Inch As for the song, Ray says, InchIt kicks the door open. It sets the tone for the whole record-fast, catchy, and not taking itself too seriously. Just the way we like it.Inch This back to basics approach carries through the album, making it equally satisfying for longtime fans & newcomers alike. InchWhether it's your first TBR album or your tenth,Inch says Miguel. InchThere's something here for you.Inch It's packed with everything you'd expect from TBR with a few surprises the band think you'll love - including a couple of songs where Miguel steps up for his first-ever lead vocals! InchWe're lucky to still be here, making music with our best friends, and connecting with people who get it,Inch sums up Miguel. InchR

WILCO / YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT - This 2-CD Expanded Edition of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco's 2002 Nonesuch debut, includes the original album, remastered for it's 20th anniversary in 2022, plus 18 previously unreleased tracks-InchThe Unified Theory of EverythingInch alternate album versions plus bonus tracks. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was widely acclaimed as one of 2002's best albums, appearing in year-end lists of Mojo, NME, Q, Rolling Stone, and Uncut, among many others. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot also was featured in multiple decade-end lists, with Rolling Stone naming it #3 Album of the 2000s, as well as many Greatest Albums of All Time lists, including in the NME. Among Yankee's inspirations was a recording Tweedy bought at Tower Records in the late 1990s, The Conet Project Recordings of Shortwave Numbers Stations. As Bob Mehr points out in his new album note, the record got Inchdeep under Tweedy's skin. Inch Tweedy said in his 2017 memoir, Let's Go (So We Can Get Back), InchIt was as fascinating to me as anything being made by actual musicians using actual instruments... I wanted to know why it was so hypnotic to me. Why could I listen to hours of this stuff, even though I had no clue what any of them were saying. That question became the foundation for Yankee Hotel Foxtrot... The way people communicated or ultimately failed to communicate. Inch The album takes it's title from a haunting recording of a woman repeating those words that is included in The Conet Project; that recording is sampled in the penultimate song on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, InchPoor Places. InchConceptually, Tweedy had decided to focus on a big idea for the next album the state of America. His lyrics-often distilled from scribbled pages of free verse or poetry-became a form of inquiry,Inch Mehr continues. Tweedy said, in 2004, InchI wanted to write about the stuff right in front of my eyes, microscopicall
