The Teknetics Omega 8500 is a lightweight, feature-rich VLF metal detector built for coin shooting, relic hunting, jewelry hunting, and general treasure hunting. With 7.69 kHz operation, Ground Grab® computerized ground balancing, 1–99 Target ID, Fe3O4 mineralization readout, adjustable backlight, independent gain and threshold control, and a 10" waterproof concentric open-frame coil, the Omega 8500 gives detectorists strong control in a simple, easy-to-use package.

• Ground Grab® with Manual Override: Ground Grab® computerized ground balancing helps the Omega 8500 quickly adjust to changing soil conditions. Manual override gives experienced users the ability to fine-tune performance when working more difficult or mineralized ground.
• Soil Condition Readouts: The Omega 8500 gives you helpful ground feedback, including a Fe3O4 bar graph, ground phase number, and ground error indicator. These tools help you understand the soil and make smarter adjustments while detecting.
• Gain and Threshold Control: Independent gain and threshold controls give you more control over sensitivity and target response. This helps the Omega 8500 adapt to different locations, target types, and ground conditions.
• Two Operating Modes: Choose between All Metal mode and Discrimination mode with 8 categories plus notch. All Metal is useful for maximum sensitivity, while Discrimination helps reduce unwanted targets when coin, jewelry, or relic hunting.
• 3-Tone Audio Plus V.C.O.: Multiple audio tone options help you identify likely targets by sound, while V.C.O. audio gives responsive feedback for pinpointing and target strength. Combined with digital Target ID, this helps speed up dig decisions.
