Telekinesis - Parallel Seismic Conspiracies - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Signed in the US to legendary indie imprint merge (the arcade fire, neutral milk hotel, spoon, m. Ward), and licensed to rogue (bon Iver, el Perro del mar, Odawas), Seattle's Telekinesis is one of 2009's most exciting and refreshing new talents. The songwriting & recording project of Michael Benjamin Lerner (drums, guitar & vocals), this debut album has death cab for cutie's Chris Walla acting as producer, engineer & mixer. To capture spontaneity and enthusiasm the two put one complete song to tape each day. Evoking everyone from the shins, the Decemberists, Sloan, big star, the posies, teenage Fanclub, Matthew Sweet and Weezer, 'Telekinesis' manages to isolate the bests bits of the indie-pop genome and engineer a unique and flawless hybrid. Album Tracks 1. Rust 2. Coast of Carolina 3. Tokyo 4. Look to the East 5. Awlward Kisser 6. Foreign Room 7. Great Lakes 8. Imaginary Friend 9. All of a Sudden 10. Calling All Doctors 11.
