Tenor Triangle - Tell It Like It Is - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

3 tenor saxophonists engage in a friendly duel once again, feat. Eric Alexander, Ralph LeLama & Tad Shull performing soulful blues, ballads & fiery hard bop, backed up by Rhyne's trio, inc. Peter Bernstein & Kenny Washington.

Originally his masters thesis while studying at Berklee's selective Valencia Spain campus in 2019 & premiered live at Spain's national concert hall Auditori Nacional, 'Valencia' showcases him moving far beyond the polar opposite sax/bass/drums trio & electronic/hip hop formats into expansive, cinematic, global acoustic fusion.Calling this album simply InchJazzInch would be limiting it's a forward thinking, multi-genre, multicultural experience created by an artist who is trained in jazz, but who fully absorbed a specific, inspiring environment and period of time abroad into his heart & soul, seeking to unify across geography & genre. Fully Indie.

With its bold blue of-the-era cover art, 1984's STARCHILD proved to be Teena Marie's biggest record by offering up an appealing fusion of synth-heavy pop, R&B, and funk. Led by the inescapable smash hit InchLovergirl,Inch the album was the first major success for the expressive vocalist (born Mary Christine Brockert) after her very public '82 split with the Motown tag. In addition to the vibrant InchLovergirl,Inch STARCHILD also features the emotive ballad InchOut on a Limb,Inch the groove-laden title track, and InchMy Dear Mr. Gaye,Inch a touching tribute to Marvin Gaye that was issued mere months after the soul icon's tragic death.
