Territories - When The Day Is Done - VINYL LP

When S Krysh Nashikh Domov, the debut album by Molchat Doma, was released in 2017, it announced a bold new voice in underground music. The album found a passionate audience on Bandcamp and other streaming services and was released on CD and cassette. Sacred Bones Records is proud to present the album on vinyl for the first time. Molchat Doma (translated as InchHouses Are SilentInch), founded in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave and synth-pop. Dark yet danceable, and with a heavy dose of goth ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters that predate them, but make no mistake Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is immediately recognizable as all their own. The band is comprised of Egor Shkutko, who sings the Russian lyrics in his deep monotone, Roman Komogortsev on guitar, synths, and drum machine, and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synths.

Vinyl LP pressing. Climbing from the ashes of long time Canadian stronghold band Knucklehead, this new arrangement comes to us as Territories. Arguably better and bound for even greater things! The song writing is phenomenal, and together as a composition, these tracks paint a picture that is impossible to misinterpret. Intelligent, focused and passionate lyrics drive these unbelievably well written songs home.

When Calgary, AB punk rockers Territories released their self-titled debut album on Pirates Press Records in 2018, they were a new band with a lot to say and a lot to prove. What a difference five years, and a clutch of the catchiest, best-written, and most thought-provoking punk rock songs makes! In the interim, the band kept busy, with the six song EP When the Day is Done as well as a split with fellow Canadians The Vicious Cycles, but the band have truly outdone themselves with the 11 songs on Colder Now, deftly navigating the waters of the so-called 'difficult second record' with a collection of songs that will blow the minds of longtime fans and newcomers alike. This is a band that pours their hearts and their minds into both their music and lyrics, tackling big issues, but always articulated from a relatable, personal perspective that acts as a rallying cry and a beacon of hope for everyone who feels alienated by modern society. The world is unfortunately still a dangerous place, but for those who dare to dream of something better, there is solace in the fact that Territories are back to give voice to those dreams with Colder Now.Available now from Pirates Press Records on 12' Neon Orange and 12' TRACK LIST SIDE APacific GhostHello OutsiderSuperheroNo Ball & ChainPowder Keg10A StreetSIDE BHometown Calling7lbs Of HopeDo It AloneThe CompanyRecognize The Game
