My old Texas Instrument calculator lasted until my 4 years cousin throw it in a bucket full of water. When we found it won,t turn on. Lasted for more than 5 years without a battery change. Great display and small size makes it easy to carry around. Went to the store to buy a replacement. Love Texas instrument brand.

I love this calculator, it is the second one that i have bought... only because first one was lost. I would be lost without it. I had a different kind years ago but did not like it. I heard good things about the Texas Instrument Scientific Calculator and all my math teachers said this one is the best to use, that is why I bought it not just once but twice.

The TI-30XIIS is a robust, entry-level scientific calculator from Texas Instruments that combines affordability with a range of features, including a two-line display, dual power sources (battery and solar), and broad exam acceptance. The "TI" stands for Texas Instruments, "30X" denotes the model number, "II" signifies the two-line display, and "S" represents both solar and battery power options. Texas Instruments has done an excellent job ensuring that this calculator, despite being entry-level, does not skimp on quality or features. Pros: Affordability: I purchased this calculator for my middle school child. Although it was on sale at a different retailer, I was able to get a price match at Best Buy. Two-Line Display: The TI-30X IIS stands out with its two-line display, which allows you to view previous computations without having to redo them. This feature is especially useful for complex calculations, as it lets you scroll through expressions without losing track. Wide Range of Features: Suitable for general math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, statistics, general science, and geometry, this calculator offers functions like fractions, conversions, basic scientific and trigonometric functions, 1 and 2-variable statistics, and editing options like cut and paste. Power Options: The calculator can be powered by either solar energy or batteries, making it virtually maintenance-free with its solar panel. Exam Acceptance: The TI-30XIIS is approved for use on SAT, ACT, and AP exams. Cons: Nothing significant. Final Verdict: This calculator is an excellent choice for an entry-level model. While it may not have the advanced capabilities of higher-end calculators, it performs its intended functions well. With its dual power sources, it’s likely to remain functional for many years. I am very satisfied with this purchase and understand why it is recommended by middle school teachers.

I had to buy this cuz I returned to school. Just like back in high school remembered how to use after a few minutes.

I love this calculator! Very easy, simple, and straight to the point. If you take college algebra, need to compute finances, etc, I encourage you to invest in this!
