About this product
AMITY AFFLICTION / HOUSE OF CARDS - The Amity Affliction return with one of the most personal and devastating records of their career. Following a decade-plus run as one of Australia's most influential heavy bands, marked by ARIA chart-topping albums, platinum certifications, and global touring off landmark releases like Let The Ocean Take Me and This Could Be Heartbreak, the new album turns inward with unflinching honesty. Largely written about frontman Joel Birch's relationship with his late mother, the record explores grief, trauma, faith, and self-reckoning through a series of deeply connected songs. InchI'll Break These ChainsInch confronts the confusion surrounding her death, InchAfterlifeInch questions belief beyond this life, while the closing track InchEternal WarInch captures the ongoing internal struggle and the hope for change that never came. Musically massive and emotionally raw, this album stands as The Amity Affliction at their most vulnerable, cathartic, and fully realized.

2023 . With a musicality as heavy and hard-hitting as singer Joel Birch's intensely emotional lyrics-about suicide, gun violence, religion and mental illness-Not Without My Ghosts finds The Amity Affliction at their brutal best. With four vocal features, including rising Los Angeles talent Phem, the band's first female feature, on the title track, the Australian quartet's eighth LP pushes the boundaries and genres of heavy music. The album's 10 songs were self-produced at Grove Studios in New South Wales. Not Without My Ghosts follows 2020's Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them and several non-album singles in 2021-22. For Not Without My Ghosts, InchWe wanted to go as heavy as possible,Inch says bassist/clean singer Ahren Stringer. InchOn InchI See Dead PeopleInch (which features Louie Knuxx, the New Zealand rapper who died unexpectedly in 2021), we just went balls-to-the-wall to show off that side of us, letting people know we're not a one-trick pony.Inch Proof positive of TAA's versatility is the song InchNot Without My GhostsInch ft. Phem, which closes the album with a decidedly spooky and softer energy. From start to finish, TAA's whisper-to-a-scream energy, clean and unclean vocals and Dan Brown's masterfully dynamic guitar work underscores each track's dramatic ups and downs.

CLEAN. 2017 . Rock is dead? That's fake news. Asking Alexandria is all the evidence we need. Alive with vibrant potency and empowering authenticity, they stand in joyous defiance of the tired cynicism that would declare the death of rock. Asking Alexandria is back with their self-titled fifth and most incendiary album, on which original vocalist Danny Worsnop returns. Every bit of history, swagger, and tumult is brilliantly mined to full throttle extent on the band's most ambitious album yet. The record boils with the unique combustible chemistry all five of them share. By the same turn, it is tangibly shot through with newfound freedom, camaraderie, and revelry.
