The Body - Christs, Redeemers - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. Includes digital download. 2021 collaboration between The Body and Big Brave. After the former's I've Seen All I Need to See and the latter's Vital from earlier this year, the two heavy experimental bands are teaming up for Leaving None But Small Birds. The two bands sought to create an album outside their respective stylistic realms, specifically taking influence from country and folk music.

Vinyl LP pressing. This debut album resulted from Body/Head (the duo of Kim Gordon [Sonic Youth, solo] and Bill Nace) handing over previously unreleased studio sessions to Aaron Dilloway (solo, formerly of Wolf Eyes) for processing and editing. The result is unmistakably a complete synthesis of their respective sounds and styles, a sum that makes sense and leaves you wondering 'how didn't this happen sooner?' Any attempt to describe the nature of this particular collaboration is fraught, with it impossible to say where lines might get drawn, because there simply aren't any. One of this LP's many pleasures is the inability to identify specific emotions within it, despite the undeniable emotional responses it elicits. Instead, these are memories of moods, nascent feelings we haven't grown into yet. As a wise and oft-repeated doctor once told/warned us, don't dream it, (listen in and) be it ' give yourself over to Body/Dilloway/Head. Album Tracks 1. Body/Erase 2. Goin' Down 3. Secret Cuts

Coming this July is Body Type third record InchTallyInch, via p(doom) records. Here, the everyday bits of life-taking a lift up to a boyfriend's apartment, divvying up a bill-are transformed into sublime and surreal thrills. This is a luminous rock record, chronicling mundanity's mystical implications, the deformations of romance and love's confounding elasticity. Combining big, jagged riffs, moody post-punk and 60s pop, this is Body Type's most self-assured and expansive record to date, which coincides with their 10th anniversary as a collective. It's the sound of a band maturing and taking stock, but where wit and playfulness still reigns supreme. Album Tracks 1. And What Else? 2. Sick Bag 3. Mulberry 4. Eye Is a Mouth Is a Face 5. Tally 6.
