The Bronx - (V) - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

BRONX is the bands first album in five years and comes as the group celebrates it's Tenth Anniversary. Since the bands last in late 2008, the member's have recorded two breakthrough mariachi albums as Mariachi El Bronx and toured widely under both names. The band is coming off their European tour and is set to start their U.S. tour this month!

Riddlin Kids sophomore abum, STOP THE WORLD is a product fo more than two years of nonstop roadwork this album reflects that whirlwind of activity on feverish rockers like the first single and title track, InchStop the World.Inch

Bronx VI builds on the legacy The Bronx has established in it's near two-decade existence, but which definitely proves the door to what's next has not just been kicked down, but chopped up and burned to a cinder. Yes, the first four tracks - InchWhite ShadowInch, InchSuperbloomInch, InchWatering The WellInch and InchCurb FeelersInch - bristles with the wild and untamed energy that's defined the band from the off, but then - all of a sudden, as InchPeace PipeInch kicks in - the pace and mood shifts to something a little less aggressive. Elsewhere, InchMexican SummerInch and it's (relatively) chilled-out mariachi vibes serve as an homage to the band's alter-ego, Mariachi El Bronx (and was written while that incarnation of the band was on tour), while fatalistic closer InchParticipation TrophyInch masks the Caughthran's existential dread behind searing riffs and a catchy, defiant and exuberant melody. The lineup now features drummer Joey Castillo (Queens Of The Stone Age / Danzig).
