The California Oranges - The Souvenirs - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Darla's Sacramento crew have finished their third new wavy power pop record chock full of rockin' guitars and sweet vocal harmonies. Fans of The California Oranges and their previous incarnations (Holiday Flyer, Sinking Ships) will be pleased as it is absolutely their best record to date. The band features John Conley, Katie Haley, Verna Brock, Matt Levine, and Ross Levine, a skilled group of songwriters that create, Inchcatchy songs with heart that would be all over the radio in an ideal world.Inch - Dave Heaton - Erasing Clouds, 1/1/03. Their new venture Souvenirs is classic crunchy pop/rock in the tradition of the Primitives, Velocity Girl, the Bangles and Teenage Fan club. 2004.

Digital collectible includes NFC music CD and photocard.

The COs are John Conely (Holiday Flyer), Verna Brock (Holiday Flyer, the Sinking Ships), and the twins Matt & Ross Levine (Sinking Ships, the Tank). John and Verna trade harmonies like an indie power-pop John Doe & Xene backed by multi-layered guitars and a rhythm section which can only be described as much heavier and more powerful than the Sacramento crew have offered before. These kids are just getting better and will win a special place in your heart. Still pop. More power added. Cover art designed by Andrew Prinz of Mahogany/The Simultaneous Workshop.
