Formed in 1962, the Challengers, an instrumental surf music band, were highly influential on the burgeoning surf music scene that was sweeping across California in the early 1960's. The band was formed out of the pioneer surf band called the Bel-Airs who scored a big hit with a surf instrumental titled InchMr. Moto.Inch Presented here is their vintage 1963 album, InchSurfbeat,Inch featuring the surf classics InchMisirlou,Inch InchSurfin' Safari,Inch and an update of the Bel-Airs' InchMister Motto.Inch Finally available in the digital domain, all selections newly remastered.
