Double 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Torn Down Mixed Up Extras 2018 has been half speed mastered by Robert Smith and Tim Young at Metropolis Studios, London. Robert Smith chose his favorite songs to illustrate the variety of the Cure catalog. And by October of 2017, working on songs in chronological order, he had remixed entirely the 16 songs that appear on Torn Down Mixed Up Extras 2018. The Cure formed in Crawley, West Sussex, in 1976. The band has experienced several line-up changes, with vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter Robert Smith being the only constant member. Following the of the album Pornography in 1982, the band's future was uncertain. Smith was keen to move past the gloomy reputation his band had acquired, introducing a greater pop sensibility into the band's music.

The original of The Jackson 5's Greatest Hits LP in 1971 was cause for celebration, as it encapsulated an extraordinary 18-month strings of back-to-back-to-back-back-etc. Hits and was itself a hit souvenir of Jacksonmania. Sinatra At The Sands is a 1966 live album by Frank Sinatra, accompanied by Count Basie and his orchestra, conducted and arranged by Quincy Jones, recorded live at the Copa Room of the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It was Sinatra's first live album to be commercially released, and contains many definitive readings of the songs that are most readily associated with Sinatra. The album, which included the Top 40 hit InchBurnin' for YouInch (#1 on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart) represented a resurgence of the group's commercial standing after two albums with disappointing sales. Fire of Unknown Origin would be the final studio LP featuring the band's original lineup. The album continues BÖC's tendency to write quirky songs, from the title track (featuring lyrics by Patti Smith) to InchJoan CrawfordInch. Many of the songs were intended for the soundtrack of the animated film Heavy Metal. However, only the song InchVeteran of the Psychic WarsInch, co-written by science fiction author Michael Moorcock, ended up in the film's final version and soundtrack.
