About this product
A year in the making, The Daysleepers return with their 2016 full length. Drowned In A Sea Of Sound takes nothing but the best elements of the band's highly acclaimed EP's and blends them with some entirely new experimental soundscapes. The Daysleepers trademark sound of mixing dreampop, post-punk and new wave styles is still very much present, and at times pushes even beyond those boundaries. Imagine the sounds of the Cure, Cocteau Twins, The Chameleons and Slowdive rolled into one. These 10 tracks touch on a wide variety of sounds and emotions ranging from spacey ethereal drones to blissful up-tempo dreampop beauty. For fans of the early out-of-print EP's, Hide Your Eyes and The Soft Attack, Drowned In A Sea Of Sound is a must have. It is proof that The Daysleepers have fully matured and discovered their true sound.

AS WE ALL KNOW, MUSIC IS AT IT'S BEST WHEN IT ADDRESSES IT'S LISTENERS AT A NUMBER OF LEVELS. AND THAT'S PRECISELY WHAT EDENBRIDGE DO the Austrian melodic metal act's material always features - along with it's symphonic qualities - an important emotional-spiritual side. This applies not only to the band's thirteen recordings to date, but also to their latest album Dynamind, scheduled for on Steamhammer/SPV on 25 October 2019. The atmospherically dense compositions, directed once again mainly by creative mastermind/multi-instrumentalist Lanvall and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher, combine melodies and grooves, toughness and sensitivity, emotions and intellect, spirit and the subconscious mind. Which better way to document this talent than with a programmatic play on words such as Dynamind? There's an interesting quote which summarises the deeper meaning of the album title, Sabine Edelsbacher explains. It says 'The muscle of consciousness develops through the stress ratio of opposites.' You should allow this thesis to work on you because it perfectly describes Edenbridge's holistic approach on Dynamind.

Drown is, alongsides Aureole and Tchornobog, a centerpiece in the work of Ukrainian born mastermind Markov Soroka. The singular album'Unsleep' is a five part doom metal masterpiece which was originally released in 2014 under the moniker of Slow. The record follows the story of a man who commits suicide by drowning, and the journey of his body and spirit forever spiraling into the depths of the ocean. Melodic and infinitely creepy, it set the stage for Soroka's later releases of Aureole and Tchornobog, all of which explore the same narrative world. InchIt's draining and unsettling, but also brings a surreal sense of melancholic beauty with it, in the form of it's occasional glimmers of hope.Inch - Amino. InchUnsleepInch is reissued now by Lupus Lounge / Prophecy Productions on LP (black and ltd. Blue) and CD Digipak. These editions mark the first physical of InchUnsleepInch under The Drown banner.
