EVERLY BROS / HEY DOLL BABY - Hey Doll Baby is a newly remastered 17-track compilation that collects some of the lesser-known, buried treasures in The Everly Brothers' rich catalog with songs assembled by Adria Petty, Tom Petty's daughter, who worked closely with both Everly families on the project, with help from Phil's widow Patti and son Jason, who provided track-by-track commentary for the liner notes, as well as Don Everly, prior to his passing last summer, and his widow Adela. For over 20 years, The Decemberists have been one of the most original, daring, and thrilling American rock bands. Founded in the year 2000, The Decemberists' distinctive brand of hyperliterate folk-rock set them apart from the start with the of their debut EP 5 Songs in 2001. Since then, the band has released nine full-length albums that are unbound by genre and highly ambitious, ranging from Americana-leaning storytelling epics to elements of 70's prog, hard rock, and disco. After the of 2018's I'll Be Your Girl, NPR Music wrote InchEvery band needs to refresh and reconsider it's sound sooner or later, no matter how sharp it's gotten over the course of a long career - even The Decemberists, a band whose records have always come bursting with verve... I'll Be Your Girl captures a collaborative spirit that keeps the band sounding vibrant and alive.Inch - Now the beloved indie band is back with their first new music in six years, InchBurial Ground.Inch Already a fan-favorite after being debuted live last year, their latest single takes the overt fatalism of 2018's I'll Be Your Girl and infuses it with the jangle-pop of The Dentists and dreamy harmonies of The Beach Boys (performed with an assist from The Shins' James Mercer). InchBurial Ground is in that time-honored popsong tradition, a paean to hanging out in graveyards,Inch says songwriter Colin Meloy. InchThe melody hook came to me in a dream and I hummed it into my phone on waking. Most dream-songs are bad; this was the exception.Inch Album Tracks 1. Burial Ground 2. Oh No! 3. The Reapers 4.
