Throughout the 1970s and 80s, The Fatback Band released a staggering 22 albums in less than 2 decades - spawning hits like Inch(Do The) Spanish Hustle,Inch InchI Like Girls,Inch InchGotta Get My Hands on Some (Money),Inch and InchBackstrokin.Inch Some schools of thought cite their 1979 single InchKing Tim III (Personality Jock)Inch as one of the very first examples of hip-hop. The band became hugely popular during the disco era but primarily stayed true to their funk roots throughout their career with an uncompromising style. Billed as just InchFatbackInch for their 1987 remix single Inch(Feel The) Rhythm Of The Night,Inch the band's sound here is pure electro-funk, and features production by longtime members Bill Curtis and Gerry Thomas. Originally released on the legendary Creative Funk tag, all three 12Inch mixes are presented here newly remastered.
