Talon of the Hawk is the second studio album by American rock band The Front Bottoms, released on May 21, 2013 on Bar/None. The album's title is partly inspired by the character, Hawk, from the television series, Twin Peaks. Vocalist and guitarist Brian Sella stated InchI have this thing with pocket knives; I think they're kind of cool. I was sitting in the van and drew this pocket knife. My girlfriend and I were watching Twin Peaks, and there's this police officer on the show that's called Hawk. I thought it was a badass nickname. So on the picture with the pocket knife, I wrote underneath it InchTalon Of The Hawk, Inch just because it popped into my head and thought it was kind of cool. As it was getting close to the time we needed to make a decision on the album name, I found the picture with the pocket knife that I had drawn in the van coming back from recording. The Front Bottoms are an American indie band that originated in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. In August 2007, after Brian Sella (vocals, guitar, lyricist) finished his first year of college, he and childhood friend Mathew Uychich (drums) began playing together under the name The Front Bottoms. Soon after, Uychich's brother Brian Uychich (keyboard, vocals) began sitting in on their practices. Brian asked to join the band, playing an old keyboard he found in the Uychich family attic. Vinyl LP pressing. 2015 , the third studio album from New Jersey indie rock outfit The Front Bottoms. Back On Top is their first on the Fueled By Ramen tag. The Front Bottoms formed in August of 2007. They spent the next few years playing locally around New Jersey and eventually doing extensive tours around the country. During this time, they put out a self-released album titled I Hate My Friends in 2008, an EP titled Brothers Can't Be Friends the same year, and a second album in 2009 called My Grandma vs. Pneumonia.
