The Get Up Kids - Live @ The Granada Theater (Limited Edition) - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP repressing of this 1992 album, released to coincide with the album's 20th Anniversary. Pi*ed off and angry is the best way to describe Rage Against the Machine's first album. A fierce mix of hip-hop, punk & heavy rock exploded all over the music scene in 1992. At first sight an unlikely band; Tom Morello, a nerdy guitar hero who played his guitar like a DJ, political activist Zack de la Rocha who spitted out his lyrics with a vengeance. Together with Brad Wilk on drums and Tim C. on bass they produced one of the most angry records of 90's. The album even contained, dare we say it, hit singles like 'Killing in the name of' and 'Bullet in the head'. Put the needle on the record and get blown away (again)! Album Tracks 1. Bombtrack 2. Killing in the Name 3. Take the Power Back 4. Settle for Nothing 5. Bullet in the Head 6. Know Your Enemy 7. Wake Up 8. Fistful of Steel 9. Township Rebellion 10. Freedom

Legendary Kansas City five piece, The Get Up Kids, are proud to announce the reissue of their fifth studio album, There Are Rules, on Polyvinyl Record Co. Celebrating the album's 10-year anniversary, the new edition will be released on deluxe 2xLP vinyl with 6 bonus tracks not on the original version, including the Simple Science EP. The unexpected of There Are Rules initially came seven years after what looked to be their final album, Guilt Show - with the group disbanding shortly thereafter, following a decade of non-stop touring. The Get Up Kids returned to the studio in 2009, sparked by a spur-of-the-moment decision to start writing songs together again, made while they were rehearsing to promote the tenth anniversary edition of their breakout album, Something to Write Home About.Though initially received as an experimental departure from their pioneering Midwestern punk pop sound, There Are Rules has since grown among die-hard TGUK fans as being one of their most underrated and daring. Now, after years of being out of print, The Get Up Kids and Polyvinyl are proud to reintroduce fans and listeners alike to one of the most expansive releases in the beloved band's discography.
