After being left at the altar in Rome, Matt goes on his honeymoon alone, discovering Italy's gorgeous landscape, culture, and people.
After twentyish François (Philippe Marlaud) spotted his girlfriend Anne (Marie Riviére) walking with her married pilot ex Christian (Mathieu Carrière), he jumped to obvious albeit wrong conclusions. Opting to tail Christian through Paris, he find himself joined in the surveillance by impetuous teen Lucie (Anne-Laure Meury). Charming tale of romance gone awry, the first of director Eric Rohmer's InchComedies and Proverbs,Inch also stars Philippe Caroit. 104 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack French; Subtitles English; audio commentary; theatrical trailer. In French with English subtitles.
Marcello Mastroianni co-stars as the irrepressibly carnal businessman Domenico, who discovers Lorens Filumena as a young prostitute and keeps her as his mistress and confidante. When he chooses to marry a young cashier instead of her, Filumena is furious, and resorts to a series of wild and hilarious ruses to win back his hand. Directed by the great Vittorio de Sica (THE BICYCLE THIEF), MARRIAGE ITALIAN STYLE is a timelessly bawdy classic.
