About this product
The Heavy return in 2023 with their sixth album Amen, an exhilarating maelstrom of '60s R&B riffs, horns, and gospel harmonies, which is set to be the freshest and most revitalised record in their canon yet. Their corrupted R&B power is unstoppable and, revived to full blast from the pandemic lull, they're hurtling into 2023, whipping and writhing with seditious blues drama, soul and gospel passion, the crunch of prime hip-hop and garage punk's visceral electricity pulsating through AMEN. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios, produced with Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, U2) and engineered with Real World Studios' Joe Jones. The songs were written during sessions in Florida at the end of their 2019 US tour and demoed when Kelvin visited the UK in February 2020.

2016 . Hurt & The Merciless marks a musical culmination for The Heavy, a mesmerizing blend of their trademark rock 'n' roll classicism and funk and soul grooves, with added sonic experimentation. Self-produced, the band's main aim when recording was to capture the powerful energy of their live show-that life-affirming spark of rock 'n' roll when anything feels possible. The 12 track album features lead single InchSince You Been Gone,Inch with its lolloping groove, plus the spiky garage-rock anthem InchWhat Happened To The Love?Inch and is their strongest batch of songs to date.

Fear of Pop is a collaboration between Ben Folds (from the platinum-selling Ben Folds Five) and producer Caleb Southern. Recorded over the past year, Fear of Pop's Volume I is an album of instrumental and spoken word tracks by Ben Folds featuring melancholic, dreamy pop and subtle jocularity. The Ben Folds melodies, post-slacker musings and odes to song styles are all present. Highlights include the 1st single, InchIn Love,Inch featuring William Shatner (yes, Captain Kirk).
