The Jam - Dig The New Breed - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Only Time is Mark G. Meadows' most personal work to date. Drawing heavily on his jazz roots, Meadows seamlessly blends R&B, Pop, Soul, and Folk to reveal the raw human terrain of navigating the pandemic lockdown - and life itself. This album movingly portrays the unvarnished human journey that we traversed during the pandemic - confronting essential spiritual and human truths along the way - and reveals how we are forever changed as a result.

Japanese reissue. Universal. 2021.

Everything flows, nothing ever stays the same. The same can be said about the third studio album of the fast-rising Dutch rock band DOOL. Aptly entitled InchThe Shape of FluidityInch there is not just musical innovation but the full-length revolves around themes of personal change, physical change, psychological change, and the ever-changing world around us. Musically, DOOL continue on the path laid out on the two previous studio recordings of heartfelt rock music with added metal elements, while displaying a maturity and focus in songwriting that has grown out of experience. InchThe Shape of FluidityInch exhibits an eclectic yet seamless amalgamation of progressive and post-rock as well as doom and heavy metal in combination with an inherent catchiness and a dynamic backdrop.
