Vinyl LP pressing. Matador Records presents Belle and Sebastian's What to Look for in Summer, a new live double album gathering choice selections from the band's 2019 world tour, including last summer's epic InchBoaty WeekenderInch cruise. All live records are a time capsule to some extent, but Belle and Sebastian's What To Look For In Summer is perhaps a bit more evocative than originally planned. Neither a retrospective nor a back-door greatest-hits, What To Look For In Summer is the sound of a band that's always moving forward, a picture of Belle and Sebastian in 2019 that gives equal weight to early days (InchMy Wandering Days Are Over,Inch InchSeeing Other PeopleInch) and recent years (InchPoor Boy,Inch InchWe Were BeautifulInch), with a track selection Murdoch says was almost random. Also included are three songs from 2000's Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant (which the band played in full at the Boaty Weekender). Album Tracks 1. The Song of the Clyde - Recorded By Kenneth McKellar 2. Dirty Dream Number Two - the Boaty Weekender, August 10th, 2019 3. Step Into My Office, Baby - the Boaty Weekender, August 10th, 2019 4. Wrapped Up in Books - Royal Oak Theatre, Michigan, July 21st, 2019 9. Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John - Auditoria Baluarte, Pamplona, Barcelona, November 4th, 2019 10. The Boy Done Wrong Again - House of Blues, Boston, Ma, July 13th, 2019 11. I Can See Your Future - the Boaty Weekender, August 10th, 2019 12. After a couple of failed singles in the UK, the Kinks unleashed their trademark sound on the classic 'You Really Got Me' and helped launch thousands of garage bands across the country in the mid-sixties. With the success of You Really Got Me', the Kinks were rushed into the studio to record this, their first full length album from 1964. As such, fewer than half of the songs are Ray Davies originals. But among those is the classic 'Stop Your Sobbing'. The covers are typical of other r'n'b-influenced groups of the period like the Rolling Stones. The Kinks work through respectable versions of Chuck Berry's 'Too Much Monkey Business' and 'Beautiful Delilah', as well as bluesman Slim Harpo's 'Got Love if you Want it'. Album Tracks 1. Beautiful Delilah 2. So Mystifying 3. Just Can't Go to Sleep (Mono Mix) 4. Long Tall Shorty (Stereo Version) 5. I Took My Baby Home (Stereo) 6. I'm a Lover Not a Fighter 7. You Really Got Me (Mono Mix) 1. Cadillac 2. Bald Headed Woman 3. Revenge (Mono Mix) 4. Too Much Monkey Business 5. I've Been Driving on Bald Mountain 6. Stop Your Sobbing 7. Got Love If You Want It (Mono Mix)
