My Favorite Sitcom in Recent Years
As if I needed any more reasons to look forward to football season...NFL, Fantasy Football, and now...The League! I look forward to the fall every year and The League is a large part of that. Witty, juvenile comedy at its best, with every show season based around an actual football season, it almost seems plausible that these people could really exist somewhere in Chicago. Think, Seinfeld, but full of insults, trash talking, backstabbing, backdoor deals, and a severe shortage of personal empathy. Don't know how long they'll be able to keep this fresh, but so far, good job!

Awesome Show, Not just about football
Similar to Seinfeld, The League is a show dealing with the weekly adventures of a close group of friends who all participate in a fantasy football league. There is a bit of talk concerning football but the comedy and situations are mostly unrelated to sports so all people can enjoy the fun. There is however an element of 'trash talk' between characters who at matched up against each other each week which can be vulgar and the shows do state the "viewer discretion is advised". Over-all this is an awesome show and consistently hilarious.

FOREVER UNCLEAN!!!!!!!
These guys are giving the Gang from Always Sunny a run for their money. Nick Kroll continues to be (in my opinion) the BEST character on this show. This season was a little Rafi heavy, but still funny. Some of my pals who are fantasy drafters have some issue in regards to the actual logistics of the fantasy draft within the program, but I remind them that it's a show NOT NECESSARILY about Fantasy Football, but about the effect it has on people who participate.

The League is a hilarious comedy!
The League might be geared towards fantasy football players, but the enjoyment does not stop there! My wife actually watched the show before I did, and I was hooked from the first episodes we watched! The unrated episodes can be a bit raunchy, so make sure younger children are not in the room when watching! The humor keeps you laughing and cringing the whole season.

It's "The League" what more can you say
Again just in time for NFL season comes the latest installment of The League Season 5 on DVD and Season 6 premier. The only thing that could have been better would be Season 5 on BD. Which I think they're still debating as there has been no release date set yet.

Get drafted into the hilarious first season of The League, a full-contact look at the hyper-competitive, hysterically unrestrained world of fantasy football! The League's members are a tight crew of long-time buddies, but that doesn't stop an all-out blitz of trash-talking, deceit and ruthless extortion. Watch as their obsession with winning the highly coveted, yet utterly absurd championship trophy impacts their careers, S*x lives, families and above all - their dignity.

The League: The Complete Seventh Season - DVD

Huddle up for the final outrageously funny season of the fantasy football comedy that's always out of bounds. This year, the scheming smack-talkers find themselves embroiled in a string of scandals, kicking off when Pete discovers that his ex-wife Meegan is sleeping with a fellow league member. Next up, Taco flies into the drone zone, Kevin and Pete play chicken with their private parts, Jenny gets slot-shamed and Rafi hooks up with a watermelon. From blind-spot shenanigans to fake-book deflategate, Season Seven hits a highpoint by sinking to new lows. 13 episodes on 2 discs.

The League - The League: The Complete Season Four - DVD [2 Discs]

Americas favorite pastime talking smack to your buddies and making their lives miserable is elevated to hilarious new heights in the uproarious Season Four of The League. This season kicks off with the arrival of Kevin and Jenny's baby... and the race to the Shiva Bowl is on! As Taco tangles with Chicago Bears great Jim McMahon and Andres tailgating plans go horribly awry, the rest of the guys contend with dirty trades, circumcision debates, breast-a-lyzers and blackmail. Make these outrageously funny Season Four episodes of The League your number-one draft pick!
