This follow-up series to "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is set 70 years after the events of "Avatar" and follows Korra, the next Avatar after Aang, who is from the Southern Water Tribe. With earth, water and fire under her belt, Korra must master the art of airbending.

This follow-up series to AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER is a wonderful continuation of the mythos and world of the Avatar. With beautiful animation and plenty of fantasy action, it's absolutely worth watching the complete series.

It was hard to find an independent blu-Ray copy of The Legend of Korra anywhere else, so I’m happy Best Buy was still selling it and would recommend buying it to anyone else who is a fan of the series.

I will admit I haven't watched the original show on Nickelodeon, but I've lived through its hype. Well, Legend of Korra is all that and a bag of chips. This release is a must have. First of all, the animation is out of sight. Two studios are accountable for Korra's arresting visuals, one in Korea, the other in Japan. The show is seamless between both art studios. Vivid colors, fluid intense fights in each episode, incredible abilities and sub abilities, the characters in the show never disappoint. And each character has amazing development. Characters from the original series are well into their golden years with several of them being the equivalent to great grandparents. So if you miss Aang, rest assured there's plenty of references to him and his colleagues. The audio is decent. Sometimes the dialogue is a little soft spoken, and I'm not a fan of the show's opening music (it's really high at the end), but it's 5.1. I throw on subs sometimes just to make sure I don't miss a well-timed joke or plot detail. Now the crux of this series; amazing storytelling! First season is flying on all cylinders with an underground group seeking to wipe out the Bending Arts through taboo "Bloodbending". Season two is universally regarded as the weakest with a cataclysmic finale (headache mode) with super beings and sky beams. Season three gets back into a better story line with another group seeking to overthrow the kingdoms to create a Thoreau style of government rid of hierarchies and leaving government to an anarchic society. And finally Book Four is how Korra Got Her Groove Back. I'm overly simplifying the plots, but the subplots and relationships are well developed for a series on Nickelodeon, challenging even the dynamics in a more mature drama series like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. Between characters, comedy, plot, action, drama, and surprises, this show never fails to leave me saying aloud, "Good God this is a great show!" I cannot give this show a high enough recommendation. If you like being surprised by animated series such as the Batman cartoon from the Nineties or Samurai Jack, this is an essential series to own. You don't even have to be a longtime Avatar fan to pick it up. Plenty of references will help get you into the franchise (yes, there's Fire Kingdom references throughout). Best gem I've picked up and I cannot wait to get the original on Blu-ray in three weeks! (Also, there's eight Blu-rays for all four seasons, they are on winged inserts in the case, and there's special features for each season. I haven't dived into the added features because the show is lengthy, even for binge watching.)

I absolutely loved this show and was so happy to find it on blu day in one collection! It was just as good the second time around especially since it has been years and I had forgotten a lot. I was so excited to open the package and watch. Unfortunately the case has terrible quality and the piece that sticks up to go through the middle of the cd and hold it in place was super small and doesn’t hold the discs in place. They keep slipping off and sliding off the piece which is disappointing to someone like me who keeps their discs mint. Amazing series and some cool extras. Like others, I wish there was an insert with the episode list for each cd and maybe some art. I’d recommend series to people but maybe not this particular packaging. 4 stars cause amazing series and cool extras. Woulda been 5 if they had better packaging and my discs weren’t getting scratched.

This was a good watch however, I think they should have done a follow up to Ang being an Avatar leader. Not just traveling the world figuring out his abilities and getting the world in order, instead of a years later. However, I did enjoy this series but think they should have made Korra a little stronger throughout the series. The ending was great with a cool modern twisst.

A fitting and enjoyable addition to the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The adventures of the next incarnation of the Avatar - and how she overcomes threats within and without herself. Just as with the original series, great character development and fantastical stories.

I’m a huge fan of avatar: the last air bender! Getting to see another story in the future after the final season of the last air bender I feel happy with the outcome. I think people would enjoy this second story in the same world as it’s original one.

I’ve been on streaming services for a while, and this is actually the first Blu-Ray I’ve ever bought. I’ve been feeling nostalgic for Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, and was hoping the Blu-Rays would have some neat special features. I am halfway through the series (first 4 discs) and most of the features are animatics and audio commentary. Not the documentaries and bts content I hoped for. Still love the show and happy to have it on Blu-Ray.

The Legend of Korra, hotly anticipated sequel to the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, is good. There's some sections that are...not so great (looking at you, most of Season 2), but overall, highly recommended to anyone who liked the first series!

I have watched this genre for years now and am slowly building up my collection again as the last collection I had was taken in a home invasion by an ex. These are the best to watch with friends.

Saw this series when it was first out live and it was great to get a collector edition to relive the episodes. Episodes contained humor, action, life lessons, and loyalty.

The Legend of Korra is a continuation of Avatar the Last Airbender. It's beautifully animated and it has a bit of a more serious tone than the original.
