    100% worth your money

    I was late getting into the Switch and its amazing library of games, but ever since I picked up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in May, it's been hard to put it down. Even after more than 100 hours of play time, I still keep coming back to this remarkable game to complete more quests, kill more enemies, and just have a fun time exploring the many different areas of Hyrule. After getting so much mileage from the base game, I wondered if the Expansion Pass would give me the same amount of bang for my buck. And did I really need to buy an expansion for what is already one of the largest and time-consuming games on the Switch? Well I can definitively say that I never should have worried. This DLC pack is chock-full of new shrines to solve, item chests to hunt down, and storyline quests to complete — it's an all-around great supplement to the base game that adds an extra level of challenge. I've already spent nearly 15 hours on the Champions' Ballad and hunting down the new items chests alone, and have yet to touch the Trial of the Sword. Bottom Line: If you enjoyed Breath of the Wild, you will also enjoy this Expansion Pass.

    Nice expansion.

    This expansion is awesome. Even just treasure hunting the new items added a few extra hours of gameplay. I haven’t even done the included story expansions yet. Awesome job on this game and expansion pack. Very reasonable also.

    Adds Great Content to an Already Amazing Game!

    Breath of the Wild is already an incredible game, the DLC pack adds more content and gives you an incentive to come back again and again. The first part of the DLC pack puts you back into Hyrule to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts, looking for some extra pieces of gear. DO NOT look up the locations of the gear on the internet, it's a lot more fun when you have to figure it out on your own. The first DLC pack also includes the master trials. Don't let similar trials from previous Zelda games fool you, these trials are HARD. You can easily get 5+ hours out of them even if you beat them first try . . . And if you're that good at the game, the DLC also adds the brutal Master Mode. Master Mode is more than just making the enemies harder, harder enemies appear earlier in the game and in more difficult locations. A task that was easy the first time through suddenly requires you to sneak your way around a brutally difficult Lynel. It's a total blast and I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of the base game!

    Not Mandatory but Highly Recommended

    We picked-up this exp pass to kind of complete the Breath of the Wild experience. The core game is now 6-years old as of writing this review and one should be able to find it at a highly affordable price. This expansion pass often is on sale and should be picked up when it is.

The expansion pass includes DLC Pack 1: The Master Trials and DLC Pack 2: The Champions' Ballad. Expansion Pass Bonus • Three treasure chests with in-game clothing exclusive to the expansion pass will be added to the Great Plateau. DLC Pack 1: The Master Trials will include the following: 1. Trial of the Sword Visit a certain location to challenge the Trial of the Sword, where you must vanquish waves of enemies to progress from one room to the next. You will start this challenge without any armor, equipment, or food items to aid you. If you complete all 45 rooms, Link's mind and body will be strong enough to wield the Master Sword's full power and splendor any time the sword is usable! 2. Hero's Path Mode View the path you've taken on your journey. It will record your journey for up to 200 hours of gameplay. Use this feature to find shrines and Koroks! You can even manually adjust the replay speed. 3. Master Mode In Master Mode, most enemies you encounter will be one tier higher than they originally were. There is also a new top tier of enemies that don't appear in Normal Mode! Additionally, enemies will recover health if you stop attacking them, and they will also notice Link more easily. You also might find enemies and treasure chests floating in the air! 4. Travel Medallion The Travel Medallion will be hidden in a treasure chest somewhere. Place it at your current location and you will be able to travel there whenever you please. You can only register one location at a time, but this addition should aid you in your journey. 5. 8 clothing items hidden in treasure chests Items honoring the legacy of The Legend of Zelda series (Majora's Mask, Midna's Helmet, Tingle's Hood, Tingle's Shirt, Tingle's Tights, Phantom Helmet, Phantom Armor, and Phantom Greaves) will be hidden in 8 treasure chests scattered across Hyrule. There are hints to help you find these items hidden somewhere as well. Search for these hints and treasures while you journey across Hyrule! 6. Korok Mask The Korok Mask is an item that will be hidden in a treasure chest somewhere in Hyrule, and unlike the 8 items mentioned above, this one has a special ability. When Link wears this mask, it will shake when a hidden Korok is nearby! DLC Pack 2: The Champions' Ballad will include the following: 1.　The Champions' Ballad A mysterious voice beckons Link to challenge the Divine Beast Tamer's Trials. He must now prove himself by defeating enemies using the One-Hit Obliterator, conquering new Shrines, challenging a full dungeon, and overcoming many trials along the way. Once all challenges and trials have been bested, Link will obtain a new power known as the Master Cycle Zero! Additionally, the bard Kass is traveling Hyrule to complete the unfinished song his teacher left behind. As Link and Kass chase their respective goals, Kass will share new original songs he wrote capturing lost memories of the four Champions and Zelda, previously unknown to Link. But that unfinished song...
