About this product
Who's Gonna Buy?, credited to The Lemon Dips, is a shadowy 1969 artifact from the UK's golden age of psychedelic library music. Released on the Music de Wolfe imprint and likely performed by anonymous session players, the record drifts between fuzz-toned garage rock, freakbeat melodies, and mood-setting instrumentals designed as much for film and television as for home listening. Written by Johnny Hawksworth and Peter Reno, it has a split personality-hook-driven vocal cuts paired with alternate instrumental versions-that gives the album a strangely cinematic feel, reinforced by several tracks' appearances in the cult horror film The Haunted House of Horror. Long overlooked and rarely reissued, Who's Gonna Buy? has since become a coveted curiosity among collectors of obscure British psych, prized for it's blend of pop immediacy, studio craft, and enigmatic provenance.

Where are the Lemons now? Who are the Lemons now? Are you a Lemon or a Lime? Somewhere deep within the Seventeen Seas, DJ Lorelei is broadcasting 300 Hz of heavenly joy from the SS Scout radio transmitter, sending out the latest missive from the Lemon World.Following a chance encounter with Sailor Lou, the intrepid DJ Lorelei is in possession of acetates containing never-before-heard recordings from the Lemons and has been broadcasting them non-stop for the past 213 days. The archivists at We Are Busy Bodies were lucky enough to tune in to the signal one clear night and record a brief snippet of DJ Lorelei's transmission, preserved here as InchWLMNInch.1.
