The Locksmith - DVD

Done with the prison bit that resulted from a botched burglary, Miller Graham (Ryan Phillippe) was just looking to find legit applications for his furtive skill set and make amends to cop ex Beth Fisher (Kate Bosworth) and their young daughter. Unfortunately, the pull of his old lifestyle-and some determined and dangerous cronies from back then-might prove more than he can resist. Effective thriller also stars Ving Rhames, Jeffrey Nordling, Noel Gugliemi, Kaylee Bryant. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Barbara Stanwyck is superb as Martha Ivers, a wealthy woman whose past suddenly comes back to haunt her, in this gripping thriller. Eighteen years after she accidentally killed her aunt and covered it up, Martha must face the horrific tragedy once again thanks to the return of a childhood friend (Van Heflin) who may or may not know the truth. With Kirk Douglas (in his screen debut), Lizabeth Scott, Judith Anderson. 116 min. Standard; Soundtrack English.

Looking as always for an expensive car door to jimmy, thief Eddie Barrish (Bill Skarsgard) couldn't believe his good luck when he found a luxury SUV completely unlocked. He really shouldn't have, because he found himself locked within the soundproofed, tinted, virtually indestructible smart vehicle... and completely at the mercy of it's owner (Anthony Hopkins) and his remote-called agenda of psychological torture. Terrifying two-hander remade from the 2019 Argentine thriller Inch4X4Inch co-stars Navid Charkhi. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
