About this product
Described as having a transcendent live show by indie radio touchstone KEXP their debut full-length 2009's Listen to the Thunder (Mt. Fuji produced by Grammy Award-winner Kory Kruckenberg) was the culmination of years of playing together at every kind of gig imaginable and a faithful document of who The Maldives are as a live band. This time around the band took a different approach by working with Shawn Simmons (The Head and the Heart Grand Hallway Lemolo) who brought the band's assembled creativity together in a different way and explores their combined vision with expertly crafted songs that will transport you to another time and place altogether. This is where songwriter Jason Dodson's storytelling culminates into characters and places that blur the lines between fiction and nonfiction the past and the present.

SWEET CAROLINE, the enormously influential album from legendary rock star Neil Diamond, has a title track that has endured the test of time. Diamond's easy-going melodies and relentless charm are wonderfully represented here.

2017 . The Maldives are the primordial soul of Seattle. Going strong for 13 years - a complete generation in rock n roll years - the band plays a finely crafted form of cinematic Americana, dark in palette, heavy in vibe and diverse in instrumentation. They're veterans of Northwest stages from Sasquatch to Bumbershoot to Doe Bay Fest to the Tractor Tavern, their spiritual home. With their fourth album, Mad Lives, the mercurial seven-piece further refines it's sound, as lead singer and lyricist Jason Dodson explores a haunting form of rock 'n' roll mythology un-beholden to the past, theirs or any other.
Death Valley Girls' sophomore album Glow in the Dark is a white-hot distillation of their sound and spirit - a jittery and jubilant joyride of barnburner guitar riffage, goosebump-inducing choral hooks, and pounding rhythms.
