The Motions - Recorded - VINYL LP

Gold colored vinyl LP pressing. While going through his attic in 2018, famous guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen (composer of the worldwide hit InchVenusInch), came across some unique, almost forgotten and unreleased demo material recorded by The Motions back in 1967 in the legendary GTB studio in The Hague. Keyboard player PP Everts suggested the original singer Rudy Bennet that something could and should be done with these songs. After some radical re-working of the material, with arrangements done by PP Everts, Rudy Bennet and guitarist Alan McLachlan, plus a rewriting of the text of InchWarm Me BabyInch by Alan, the song swere taken into the rehearsal room with the full band. The results were so exciting, that it was decided that the tracks should be re-recorded and released, 52 years on from the original sessions! Erik Kuylaars was invited onboard to produce and oversee the whole project. Under his inspiring leadership and with the invaluable help of engineer Iwan Pronk, all the songs, apart from a few overdubs, were recorded by the band in one take. Recorded contains both the 1967 demos as well as the new re-recordings.

Partial Traces - Glass Beach - VINYL LP

Partial Traces members have been part of some of the most exciting punk bands in the vibrant Minneapolis music scene; The Soviettes, Dear Landlord, The Gateway District, Dirty Hits and Rivethead. Partial Traces finds the band members continuing the spirit of punk, while also letting each of the songs on their debut breathe, and expand just exactly what the notion of punk is. When The Gateway District dissolved in 2015, members Maren Macosko, Nate Gangelhoff, and Brad Lokkesmoe wanted to continue playing music together so they added Mike Rose to the fold, and became Partial Traces. The band has played around the Twin Cities with Waxahattchee, Big Eyes, Allison Crutchfield, and Toys That Kill.1. Nova2. Vacancies3. Placeless4. Yellow Guitar5. Dashi Bay6. Constellation7. ID - Big Time Operators - VINYL LP

Digitally remastered edition of this 1967 album from the Australian mod/R&B /blue-eyed soul band fronted by Jeff St John and featuring Peter Anson (of the legendary Missing Links). Despite being diagnosed at birth with spina bifida and performing with the aid of crutches or in a wheelchair Jeff St John is arguably one of the finest vocalists to come from the 1960's Australian music scene. His condition being so rare at the time that the easier explanation that was given to interviewers early on was his condition was the result of a car accident. THE ID gained a major fan in Jimmy Page when they supported The Yardbirds in 1967 on their Australian tour that also featured Roy Orbison and Walker Brothers. Page thought so highly of Jeff St John's vocals that when he returned with Led Zeppelin in 1972 he requested the promoters to look into adding him to the bill in whatever musical guise he had going at the time. Jeff St John would go on to keep exploring the musical spectrum with other projects both solo and band wise, even being coaxed out of retirement to sing the national anthem at the opening of the 2000 Sydney Olympics but this is where it began, a tough keyboard and horn driven R&B tour de force. Blues standards and covers making up the lion share of this album with one fierce original 60's punker, ‘Watch Out’, that being worth the price of admission alone!
