The Quill - Wheel of Illusion - VINYL LP

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2017 from the Swedish stoner rock band. Born From Fire is the follow-up to their 2013 album Tiger Blood. The Quill is back! The classic lineup, who made the records Silver Haze, Voodoo Caravan and Hooray! It´s a Deathtrip' has reunited. Lead singer Magnus Ekwall (Ayreon) is back behind the mic and together with the dynamic interplay between drummer Jolle Atlagic (Hanoi Rocks, Electric Boys, Firebird), guitarist Christian Carlsson and bassist Roger Nilsson (Spiritual Beggars, Firebird) it is a unique foursome. The band has kept the '70s feel intact, recording the new songs in the studio. In spite of the 70's strains, The Quill's music lives and breathes 2017.

When you dig through old boxes, you find stuff you've completely forgotten about - and every once in a while you find old nuggets that are worth rediscovering. The members of The Quill decided to compile the best material they could find and make a special that would provide an interesting listening experience while we wait for the next studio album. There are 3 outtakes from the Earthrise album The version of InchKeep on MovingInch is almost 1 30 longer than the album version and contains a long middle part. The other two tracks (InchChildren of the SunInch and InchBurning TreeInch), could not be included on the Earthrise album due to time constraints. Next there are 4 cover songs (Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare, Aerosmith - S.O.S, Captain Beyond - Frozen Over and November - Mount Everest) which are no longer available. Finally, 2 live tracks from the band's performance at Sweden Rock Festival 2019. Now finally available as yellow and black splatter vinyl !

Formed in 1987 by Fruitbat and Jim Bob, Carter the Unstoppable S*x Machine burst onto the scene with their signature style of punk-pop infused with samples, drum machines, and social commentary. Released in 1995, 'Worry Bomb' was Carter USM's fifth album and their fourth in a row to break into the top ten of the UK album charts. It would also be the first to feature their new drummer, Wez, marking a shift away from the famous drum machine sound. The album mixed things up musically, balancing mellow acoustic tracks like 'My Defeatist Attitude' with Carter's signature high-energy indie rock, including 'Let's Get Tattoos' and 'The Young Offenders Mum' which both hit the UK top 40. To mark the 30th anniversary of the album, 'Worry Bomb' is reissued for the first time. This expanded edition features the complete album across three sides of vinyl, plus a selection of bonus tracks on side four. Newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering and pressed on 180g translucent green (LP1) and black (LP2) vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve with poly-lined inner bags. Whilst Carter USM are no longer active, Jim Bob plays a sold out show at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London in April, and Les 'Fruitbat' Carter will be touring the UK across 2025 with his group Abdoujaparov.
