The Quilt - Held in Splendor - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Listening to their self-titled debut, it's no surprise that the members of Quilt came together out of a shared love of visual art. While their music is steeped in timeless qualities like the gorgeous harmonies on InchMiloInch or the twinkling guitar on InchUtopian Canyon,Inch the entire record is full of expansive, cinematic moments. Each song can be enjoyed independently, but taken as a whole, the record becomes a world of it's own guitars drift languidly, keys sparkle in and out, often following their own threads into the stratosphere, with vocals that are at once powerful and intimate.

Make Believe is four of the core members of Joan of Arc. In the past year they have played over 125 shows and released a well-received 5-song CD EP. This represents Make Believe's debut full-length. It is being released in conjunction with Flameshovel Records who are putting out the CD. The album was recorded by Steve Albini. You should buy it for the guitar riffs alone.

It would be an understatement to say that Le Corbusier is famous; he became quite a myth of the 20th century. His name is the symbol of a rebirth of architecture. This CD features two interviews made for radio in 1951 with Robert Mallet and in 1962 with Georges Charensol. A rare occasion to discover the voice of this genius explaining his career, life and interests. In French.
