About this product
Vinyl LP pressing of the second album from the punk legends. Released in January 1977, it featured a clutch of Ramones' classics including 'Swallow My Pride, Pinhead, Suzy is a Headbanger, California Sun' (a hit for the Rivieras in the '60s) and of course the controversial 'Carbona Not Glue'. Produced by Tony Bongiovi and Tommy Ramone, Leave Home also featured the engineering talents of Ed Stasium, who would go on to work with the band over numerous other releases. Songs on the album were written immediately after the band's first album's writing process, which demonstrated the band's progression. The album had a higher production value than their debut Ramones and featured faster tempos. Album Tracks 1. Glad to See You Go (Remastered) 2. Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment (Remastered) 3. This album is about growth... Living and learning, having fun, wordplay, heartbreak, and moving on. Flashes in the dark is pretty much a testament to what can be done with two turntables and a mic to create something different yet brilliant in the hip hop space. The album also shows maturity and a certain vulnerability not being expressed by a lot of other artists at this time. There is so much going on in the world and this album is J Scienide's expression of what was going on in his world during the time of recording. InchAs soon as I got beats from Giallo if I was up in the wee hours of the night, I was writing and recording. To me this album shows that even in the darkest hours there's always flashes of brilliance that shine throughInch. Album Tracks 1. The Spot 2. Prevail 3. Illegal 4. One Time (Feat. Sonny Jim) 5. Alpine 6. Sasso 7. Lemon & Lime (Interlude) 8. Avocado (Feat. Phyba) 9. 3Am 10. Smoke 11. Style Biz 12. Across the Sands

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. The Ramones ignited the punk-rock movement with their eponymous 1976 debut album, revitalizing rock and roll at one of it's lowest ebbs with attitude, energy and a loud, fast new sound. By cutting music down to it's bare essentials - four chords; a simple, catchy melody; a sped-up tempo and irresistibly inane lyrics, the Ramones blazed the trail for thousands of bands that followed, influencing everyone from The Clash and The S*x Pistols to Green Day and The Offspring. Although The Ramones never achieved mainstream financial success, they released 21 live and studio albums, had a devoted fan base and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Other bands, such as the Stooges and the New York Dolls, came before them and set the stage and aesthetic for punk, and bands that immediately followed, such as the S*x Pistols, made the latent violence of the music more explicit, but the Ramones crystallized the musical ideals of the genre. Album Tracks 1. Blitzkrieg Bop (2016 Remastered Version) 2. Beat on the Brat 3. Judy Is a Punk 4. I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend 5. Chain Saw 6. Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue 7. I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement 1. Loudmouth 2. Havana Affair 3. Listen to My Heart 4. 53rd & 3rd 5. Let's Dance 6. I Don't Wanna Walk Around with You 7. Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World

Of course The Ramones' second album, Leave Home, is simply more of the same - 14 songs, including one oldie (InchCalifornia SunInch), delivered at breakneck speed and concluding in under a half-hour. The Ramones have gotten slightly poppier, occasionally delivering songs like InchI Remember YouInch that are cloaked neither in irony nor seedy rock & roll chic. Still, the biggest impressions are made by the cuts that strongly recall the debut, whether it's the ersatz Beach Boys of InchSheena Is a Punk Rocker,Inch the sing along of InchPinhead,Inch or the warped anthems InchGimme Gimme Shock TreatmentInch and InchCommando.Inch Album Tracks 1. Glad to See You Go 2. Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment 3. I Remember You 4. Oh Oh I Love Her So 5. Carbona Not Glue 6. Suzy Is a Headbanger 7. Pinhead 8. Now I Wanna Be a Good Boy 9. Swallow My Pride 10. What's Your Game 11. California Sun 12. Commando 13. You're Gonna Kill That Girl 14. You Should Never Have Opened That Door
