The Revels - Behold That Star - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This CD features the great Stars of Bethlehem recording, InchAbove My HeadInch featuring Richard Wallace. One of the groups that sought to emulate the success of the Soul Stirrers and the Pilgrim Travelers was the Stars of Bethlehem. While it did not achieve this goal, their album InchAbove My HeadInch is a classic. Richard Wallace went on to found the Mighty Clouds of Joy with Joe Ligon and did achieve the great success he aspired to. Recording was made in October/November of 1960 by Rex Productions. All tracks either composed or arranged by the group Above My Head, Noboby Knows, Trying to Live Right, Meet You in the Morning, (The) Birds, I Know Somebody, (The) Minister, Stranger, Gospel Train, Ev'ry Once in a While, Family Prayer, Jesus Remember Me.

Everybody in your life will write his or her own chapter in your story. Take a step back, and you'll see the influence of your loved ones, mentors, and friends in your decisions. Shook Twin's refer to these folks in the title of their fourth album, Some Good Lives. Throughout fourteen tracks, the duo-identical twin sisters Katelyn Shook [vocals, guitar] and Laurie Shook [banjo, vocals]-pay homage to everyone from a late grandpa and godfather to Bernie Sanders. During 2016, they planted the seeds for what would become Some Good Lives by thinking bigger. The girls intermittently recorded and tapped into palpable energy like never before, locking into grooves with a full band that expanded their sonic palette.

Led by Richard Wallace, the Stars of Bethlehem were fixtures in the Los Angeles gospel scene of the early '60s, and this new collects 14 tracks, including two with Little Johnny Taylor! Features Nobody Knows; Ev'ry Once in Awhile; He Walks with Me; Family Prayer, and more.
