About this product
S*x Pistols / Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the S*x Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The S*x Pistols, an album that rewired 20 years of rock in under 40 minutes, is available today from Rhino High Fidelity (Rhino Hi-Fi), the premium vinyl reissue series. Released in 1977, it debuted at #1 on the U. K. charts despite being banned by major retailers and causing widespread controversy. Bristling with broadsides like InchAnarchy In The U. K. ,Inch InchGod Save The Queen,Inch InchPretty Vacant,Inch and InchHolidays In The Sun,Inch the album distilled rage and disillusionment into a single, unrelenting statement. In the album's new liner notes, producer Chris Thomas recalls how the band found their recording approach almost by accident during an early session. InchWe put down a track, just rhythm guitar and drums, pretty much first-take, no mistakes. It was impossible to know if it was any good, so, being a bit stumped, I asked Steve if he would like to have a go at putting the bass part on. Instead of playing a traditional bass line, he simply mirrored his guitar an octave lower-an unexpected move that snapped everything into focus. InchIt was an absolute 'Eureka!' moment,Inch Thomas recalls. InchThe combination was so powerful, so simple. We bashed three more songs down, adding the bass and double-tracking the guitar in just a couple of hours. We were seriously in first-take territory. Inch Album Tracks 1. Holidays in the Sun 2. Bodies 3. No Feelings 4. 04 Liar 5. Problems 6. God Save the Queen 1. Seventeen 2. Anarchy in the U.K 3. Sub-Mission 4. Pretty Vacant 5. New York 6. EMI

The S*x Pistols' only studio album, 1977's Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the S*x Pistols was called Inchjust about the most exciting rock & roll records of the SeventiesInch in Rolling Stone's original review. Limited red & white colored vinyl. Back in the year 2000, Julien Temple directed this account of Punk pioneers The S*x Pistols short but hugely influential initial career. The soundtrack - a mix of their classic tracks, rarities and a sprinkling of diverse artists from the Bay City Rollers and Sailor to Tappa Zukie and The Who - was only ever available on CD, making this it's vinyl debut. Uncluttered by the other artists tracks, the OST spread across 2 slices of red and white vinyl includes sing along family favourites Liar, Anarchy In The UK and No Fun alongside lesser known but no less essential cuts Don't Give Me No Lip, Road Runner and What'cha Gonna Do About It. The latter cover of The Small Faces classic comes complete with amended lyrics reflecting the spirit of the times. Limited Edition and numbered to 3k units. Album Tracks 1. God Save the Queen 2. Submission 3. Don't Gimme No Lip, Child 4. Whatcha Gonna Do About It 5. Road Runner 6. Substitute 7. Seventeen 8. Anarchy in the UK 9. Pretty Vacant 10. Did You No Wrong 1. Liar 2.
