About this product
Find Sound is the debut record from Shards, a London based vocal group led by singer, composer and producer Kieran Brunt. Combining voices, synths and percussion, Find Sound is an astonishing exploration of the human voice; using the concepts of sound and light as simple metaphors for gaining understanding. The album's pieces are intended to be miniature sonic paintings, with each adding to an overall picture of the emotional confusion of early adulthood the uncertainty, the excitement, the terror and relief. After collaborating with Terry Riley in 2016, Brunt was asked by the Barbican to form a choral group for Nils Frahm's Possibly Colliding festival that summer. Following the success of the shows, Frahm invited Brunt to join him in Berlin to collaborate on choral arrangements for his recent album All Melody. Shards have since gone on to collaborate with other notable artists, including Michael Price on his recent LP Tender Symmetry.Brunt details how he put Shards together InchI decided to go for 12 singers, capable of creating a good amount of noise but also small enough to get to know each other intimately. I also knew that I wanted to work with not just great voices, but singers with lots of personality and open minds when it comes to experimenting and trying things out.The group ended up consisting almost entirely of friends and friends-of-friends. I also tried my best to ask people who weren't just singers, but who do have other projects and musical interests. As such, we have people in the group who are also composers, instrumentalists, folk musicians and teachers. It's a vibrant mix, and I'm constantly discovering new things about them the more we make music together.InchEach of the singers in Shards brings a very distinctive musical personality to the group, something which Brunt was eager to emphasise on their debut record. 180 gram audiophile black vinyl. Ilse DeLange, a renowned Dutch singer-songwriter, achieved great success in the 21st century. Her fifth studio album, Incredible recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Lyle Workman, attained five times Platinum status, topped the Dutch Album Top 100, and included hit singles like InchSo Incredible,Inch InchMiracle,Inch and InchPuzzle Me.Inch

Dim Gray's third album Shards further develops the band's expansive and atmospheric sound, fusing rock, folk, and chamber pop influences with both an experimental edge and a pastoral warmth. - Formed by Håkon Høiberg (guitars, vocals), Tom Ian Klungland (drums), Oskar Holldorff (vocals, keys) and former member Robin Kirknes (bass), the band added new members Kristian Kvaksrud (bass) and Milad Amouzegar (guitar, keys) in 2023. The band have established a strong live presence, as per their recent live EP, and have captivated audiences while supporting renowned acts like Marillion and Big Big Train. Håkon says of 'Peril', InchThis song has a long, long history of rewrites and sketches. We are very happy that it has finally reached the finish line, and we are excited to show a more direct and upbeat side from Dim Gray! The guitar part has always been a key element, but I must admit that it started as a mandolin song and even a piano song before slowly retreating back to the guitar again. 'Peril' is about breaking norms, and sometimes a bit of naivety is an important recipe for succeeding in that journey.Inch Oskar adds, InchSeven of the songs on Shards are about change, upheaval, severance; something shattering to pieces. Although most of these songs are sad or dramatic, some have a tinge of hopefulness to them, as sometimes the pieces of something shattered can be rearranged in different and better ways. These seven songs are bookended by two songs that deal with the opposite; a constant stasis, an unending struggle of two opposing kinds that are reflections of our personalities.

To Kiss Earth Goodbye, Teleplasmiste's second full album, sees their sound-vision expanding and deepening, phantasmally and fantastically, opening onto thrilling new vistas of euphoria. The music is informed by a deep awareness and respect for prior esoteric traditions and counterculture currents, but forges a new and fertile synthesis very much it's own. The mesmerising cover art is by spirit painter and medium Ethel Le Rossignol, whose 1933 book of spiritualist teachings lends it's name to the albums second track A Goodly Company. Another composition, An Unexpected Visit, incorporates a previously unheard trance recording of occultist Alex Sanders (aka the UK's King of the Witches), made by Sanders himself in the 1980s.
